Summary and Conclusions

Have you summarized the report so far and drawn valid conclusions from your analysis? Are your conclusions logical, unbiased and supported by substantial, credible evidence? Do your conclusions answer the questions or issues raised in the introduction?

Findings, Analysis and Discussion

What did you analyze? How did you analyze it? What did you find? What did you observe during your investigation? What key issues or problems did you clearly identify? Have you categorized and sequenced your findings which ones are more significant? What do your findings suggest? Have you interpreted the results of your investigation (cause, implications, importance) rather than simply listed them? Have you suggested logical reasons for what your investigation uncovered? Be specific and use evidence (facts, observations, data, research, etc.) to support all your assertions.

Recommendations Have you clearly communicated the action you suggest the reader should take? Is there a clear relationship between the recommendations to the chosen problem it will solve? Have you ensured your recommendations are feasible, logical, and have a clear relationship to your Conclusions section? Have you presented your recommendations convincingly? Will your reader clearly see the benefits to be gained by following your recommendations? Are your recommendations ethical, legal, and sensitive to cultural differences? Are your action plans SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, results-oriented and time-bound)? (action plans are not required for your LABU recommendation report)
