RYLA

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards –RYLA:

A Rotary program designed to help clubs and districts develop leadership skills in their youth .

RYLA Program Objectives

• Demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth

• Encourage and Assist young people in responsible and effective voluntary leadership by providing them with a valuable training experience

• Foster continued and stronger leadership of youth by youth

RYLA is a four day event that

When: Sunday, June 14th, Check-In 3:00 PM

through Wednesday, June 17th, 1:30 PM

• Have you held or ever wanted to hold a leadership position in your school or community?

• Have you ever been involved with community service?

• Do you have a good academic record?• Are you willing to embrace the philosophy of

the workshop and be prepared to engage in the activities wholeheartedly?

How to Get Started

• Receive Permission from your parent(s) or guardian(s) to attend the academy

• Complete the RYLA Application and Return your Application to Stephen Nelson 13015 Mallard Street, Cumberland, MD 21502 or email [email protected]

If selected to participate: Complete the RYLA Registration form you receive and return it in a

timely manner

• Attend a Meeting with your Sponsoring Club before RYLA

• Read the informational Letter about attending the academy - like what to bring and how to get there!

• Contact us with any Questions you have!
