Introduction to Docs

Using Google Docs allows you to create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, forms and drawings to share, collaborate and edit in real time.

Creating a Document

Google Documents are similar to Microsoft Word. You can type, format, and insert text, as well as add objects, links and videos. You can also collaborate on documents using the Share feature.

Creating a PresentationGoogle Presentations are similar to

Microsoft PowerPoint. You can create slide presentations with text, objects, links and videos. You can also format objects as well as add animation. You can also collaborate on presentations using the Share feature.

Creating SpreadsheetsGoogle Spreadsheets are similar to

Microsoft Excel. You can create multiple spreadsheets within databases. The sheets can include data, charts, objects & formulas. You can also collaborate on spreadsheets using the Share feature.

Creating FormsGoogle Forms can be used to create surveys or

quizzes for students or colleagues. You can create these forms using various question types. The forms can be embedded into a website or the link can be typed in manually. You can also collaborate on forms using the Share feature.

drawings which can be used for cover pages, supplemental resources, or images. You can format text, shapes, designs, and images, then publish them or download as an image. You can also collaborate on drawings using the Share feature.
