Hello, I’m Richard Price, Owner and Marketing Specialist at R.W. Price & Associates. I grew up right here in Union County, whereI attended both Monroe and Parkwood High Schools. I married my high school sweetheart, Andrea Fields. We both attendedthe University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I earned a B.S. in Information Systems and she obtained a degree inMolecular Biology. The Town of Weddington encompasses about 17 square miles, and is approx-imately 15 miles southeast of Charlotte and 14 miles northwest of Monroe.

By the 1970's with Charlotte expansion, it wasn't long before fertile farmlandsbegan to give way to new Subdivisions, SUVs, and "Beamers". Incorporated in1983 and now 29 years old, the area remains committed to remembering itsrich history and keeping the spirit and character of Olde Weddington alive forfuture generations.

Wesley Chapel can be linked to a rural meeting place in the early1800's, known as The McWhorter Campground. It was establishedon a slight rise overlooking Potter Road South a little over a mileto the south of where Wesley Chapel Road ends today. The WesleyChapel Vicinity, in the late 1890’s was much better known as thecommunity of Price’s Mill. Wesley Chapel School became the firstaccredited rural high school in Union County and one of the firstin North Carolina -- that tradition of prominent and strong schoolscontinues in 2012.
