ThomasEdisoninspiredmanyotherinventorswithhisbrilliantideas.OnemanwhoadmiredEdisonwasHenryFord.HenryFordgrewuponafarm,butfarmingwasnotforhim.Asayoungman,hewenttoworkforanelectriccompany.
In1896,HenryFordwasintroducedtoThomasEdison.Fordwasexcitedtomeetthegreatinventor.HetoldEdisonaboutanideathathehad.Fordwantedtomakeacarthatranongas.Edisonaskedtheyounginventorallsortsofquestionsaboutthiscar.Attheendoftheirmeeting,Edisonsaid,“Youhaveit!”
AftertalkingwithEdison,Fordknewhehadagreatidea.Fordbuiltagas-poweredcarcalledtheModelA.
