•  Many residents in coastal areas were warned to move higher ground.

•  A major bridge at Concepcion had collapsed into the Biobio river.

Aftershocks

•  Several buildings collapsed – including a car park were dozens of cars were smashed.

•  International airport’s terminal will keep it closed.

Aid

•  Preparation of aid ships

•  The US had aid resources in position to deploy should the Chilean government ask for help.

Conclusion

•  We should help each other like the US.

•  The warning system can help the residents.
