”The tutorials are always enjoyable and conducted in good humour - and care is taken to put the language into context by providing an insight into Russian culture.”

“One of the things I most enjoy about the course is that we can now tailor the lessons to meet our various interests. We have read a wide range of short stories from Pushkin and Chekhov to Okudzhava and Kuprin, but also we regularly have dokladi where one class member prepares a talk and hand-out to form the subject of discussion. The subject matter has ranged from newspaper articles to Russian poetry and famous Russians. ”

“Unlike large language schools, the groups are small and everyone has plenty of time to practice the language with the teacher’s input.”

“One thing I really like about learning at RLC is that the whole experience is about Russian language and culture.”

“The teachers are very professional, knowledgeable and I would recommend the RLC both for its focus on rigorous learning of the grammar (which is essential to make any real progress in Russian) and then at a later stage for its flexibility in allowing students to pursue their own interests. ”
