HEALTHALLIANCE 2009 to PresentProject ManagerI have successfully managed a number of varied and complex projects within healthAlliance, individual DHB’s, regionally and also involving external partners such as PMS Vendors and PHO within the greater Northern region. Key Results:

SaferSleep upgrade and regionalisation Lead a team made up of internal hA resources from multiple service areas, DHB

testers, business owners and clinical leads and vendor development and implementation resources. The project involved upgrades or 2 separate instances and consolidation to a single shared instance on a new infrastructure platform. The replacement of approx. 50 PC in hospital surgeries was also required due to Windows7 compatibility issues.

Internet Explorer 8 deployment to Counties Manukau Health Board Managed the release of IE8 to approx. 10,000 PC’s across the Counties Health fleet.

Developed the release methodology that was implemented and used across other DHB’s in the Northern region. Managed communications and change management in conjunction with senior health board managers and representatives.

Auckland Metro Maternity Data Extract and submission Lead a team of internal business intelligence developers, DHB users, vendor and

Ministry of Health resources to develop and extract of 7 years of maternity data records and submit to the Ministry of Health statics department.

Metro Auckland Oracle Exadata migration and back-up solution Lead a team of both internal and external (vendor) resources to successfully

complete the migration of a number of tier 1 system databases to a new database platform. This involved development strategies to mitigate the impact and risk of extended outages to hospital services. Lead the design and implementation an enterprise level back-up solution for the new Exadata platform.

Regional Clinical Documents implementation Took over an existing project and introduced structure and leadership to the

project. Successfully created a positive, collaborative, strong team environment despite the differences in physical locations of the team members. I have worked closely with the project sponsors to resolve the issues and concerns they had regarding the progress of the project. Implemented strategies to alleviate bottlenecks due to limitations on resource availability.

CMDHB EC Shared electronic patient record Successfully lead a team consisting of resources internal to hA, CMDHB, an

external Practice Management System vendor and Counties Manukau based Public Health Organisation. Delivered a system to make primary care information available to clinical staff based in Middlemore Hospital Emergency dept. Project was delivered on time and under budget.

CMDHB Centralisation of Ophthalmology images Managed resources from within hA, CMDHB, with an external vendor through

design, procurement, development, testing, historical image migration, and implementation.

The projected resulted in a centralisation of images that were stored on individual image capture devices. This enabled consultants to view images from their workstations. By providing a central store and distributed viewing machines significant improvements in workflow have been achieved. This has resulted in the

unit to moving to a paperless system, reduction in operating costs and increase in patient throughput.

CMDHB-WDHB e-Medicine Reconciliation phase 2 Managed resources from within hA, CMDHB, WDHB to work with an external vendor

through design, development, testing and implementation of stage 1 of the project deliverables. Continuing to work with the DHB business owners and vendor on remaining design, development and delivery.

Through my extensive knowledge in delivery of an e-Medicine Reconciliation system I have provided assistance as a consultant other DHB’s throughout New Zealand to assist with their implementation.

Regional Care Connect TestSafe - GP PMS Login Integration Successfully lead a team of both internal and external resources in the

development of enhancements to MyPractice GP software. Project was delivered to pilot stage under budget.
