established a metabolic profile for diabetic offspring vs those with no history of diabetes.

Performed MRS analysis in muscle and liver.

Conducted research and development activities to augment knowledge of mechanisms of obesity and age

related illnesses.

Evaluated and analyzed clinical research data. Utilized computer networking to do research with

individual’s offsite.

Conducted exercise testing (VO2max tests, stress tests, YMCA Bike tests, Cybex tests, endurance

performance tests, pulmonary function, and 12-Lead EKG), assigned exercise prescriptions for

participants, scheduling, scientific paper writing, and research in Pennington’s Fitness Center.

Supervised an exercise lab at LSU for a new Wellness Program.

Used IDEEA from MiniSun to monitor participant’s activities, and train researchers on how to use this

accelerometer.

Performed all MRI muscle analysis for PBRC.

Compared energy expenditure from both doubly labeled water and accelerometers from the CALERIE

study.

Communicated findings through reports and publications, monitor and report on progress of ongoing

clinical studies. Recruited and screened research patients. Conducted patient interviews to evaluate patient

eligibility for studies coordinated.

Managed large databases for data collected from studies, and delegated tasks to others.

of diabetes and lipotoxicity. Both of whom are now tenure-track faculty at graduate institutions.
