Preparing Himself for Success after College

After Marcus Hiles graduated from high school, he attended Rice University in Central Texas. His determination to become more than just a simple nine-to-five employee led him to obtain the best grades possible while earning his bachelor’s degree. After he finished his degree, Marcus Hiles moved to California to attend Pepperdine University to get a Master’s in Business Administration. In his spare time, Marcus Hiles volunteered at a number of local non-profits and worked at a local real estate development company.

Keeping a full schedule was a top priority for Marcus because he knew that running a company would likely involve having little to no down time. Working at the real estate development company also gave Marcus Hiles a chance to interact with some of the most successful developers and business owners in California. How his personal life changed is professional life was a key factor in making Western Rim Properties successful, and doing personal networking outside of school helped him build a team of individuals that he could rely on for years to come.

The Beginning of Something Special After completing a master’s degree at Pepperdine University, Marcus

Hiles moved back to Texas. With him, he brought a blueprint for what would one day be the most successful real estate development business of our time.

Marcus Hiles immediately went to work. He put together a team of investors and developers, and founded Western Rim Properties in 2004. Since Marcus Hiles attended college, he’s proved that he can build and run a multi-billion dollar real estate investment company and work on his charitable donations at the same time.
