1. PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

• IF IN A SENTENCE ‘SINCE, FOR ,ALL’ GIVEN AND SECOND SENTENCE IS COMPLETED THEN BLANK SPACE WILL CONTAIN ‘HAS /HAVE +BEEN +V(1ST)+ING.

• The gardener has been watering the plants for two hours.• My mother has been cooking food for two hours.

• 2. If two sentences given , and any one sentence contains ‘since, for ,all’ and second sentence contains v(2nd) then ‘had been +v(1st)+ing’ will used before given time.

• Babita had been trying to get a job for two years when finally she gave up the hope.

• 3. if two sentences given in any one sentence ‘since ,for ,all’ given before time and other sentence contains present tense then blank space will contain ‘has /have +been +v(1st)+ ing ’ before the time.

• Since I have been working for two hours I am feeling tired.• The dogs have been barking for a long time , what is the matter?

• Already ,for , since , all comes before time and in next the sentence contains yet, just then the blank space will contain ‘has/have +been +v(1st)+ing.’ before since and for, and ‘has/have’ will before yet and just.

• He has been doing his homework ,but he has not completed it yet.• The boys have been learning a poem for two hours but they have not

learnt it yet.

• If a sentence contains since but not time then has /have +been +v(1st)+ing will come before since and v(2nd) will come after since.

• She has been sleeping since you went to office.• She has been taking food since she returned from school.• She has been singing a song since she took food.

FUTURE INDEFINITE TENSE• I and we will take always shall and all other noun and pronoun will take

will as helping verb.• She will go to Jaipur tomorrow to see her mother.• I shall take examination in next month.• She will come here on next Monday.

FUTURER PERFECT TENSE.

If a sentence contains by before time then will have +v(3rd) will come in blank space .She will have left for school by 10 p.m.They will have crossed the forest by sunset.By the end of this month , the teacher will have finished the course.

FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

• Before Future indicating words like tomorrow, next(month, week , year......), time of a watch etc we will use ‘by’.

• Somewhere ‘on’ can also used.• Before time due to ‘for ,since , all’ use has/have +been +v(1st)+ing.• Anil will have been playing cricket for two hours by 6 o’clock.• Mukesh will have been living in this house for five years by 2011.• Mamta will have been washing the clothes for three by 4 p.m.• Seema will have been reading in this college for four years by 2010.

PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE• After Modals like need not , must , can , could , shall, should, will, would ,

may might , let always first form of the verb will come.• I am waiting for Raju , he should come.• His father is ill he shall go to see him.• Seeta was not she might attend the function.• Babita was In a hurry but I let her do her homework.

• Always , every(day, month , week, year), usually ,seldom, often , rarely are indicators of present tense.

• She always remembers god in her difficulty.• He comes to see me every week.• She seldom cooks food.• I go to school everyday.

PAST INDIFINITE TENSE• Ago, yesterday, last(week, month, year…………), the other day etc. are

indicators of past tense . Sentences those are having these adverbs always take v(2nd).

• Mohan came to see me last week.• Yesterday I had my shoes polished by a cobbler.• I went to Jaipur yesterday.

• If a tense started in past tense then complete sentence will go in past tense.

• When I was bathing , I heard a loud noise.• Sita cooked food and went to market.

PERFECT TENSE• If a sentence contains already, just , yet, or up to now then with all these

sentences has/have +v(3rd) will come .• The doctor is not at home , he has gone to hospital just now.• He has already finished his homework and now he will go to the cinema.• He had already finished his work and went to the cinema.

PAST PERFET TENSE• If a sentence contains had + v(3rd) and after before ,then after before

v(2nd) will come .• The guest had gone before I reached at home.• The patient had died before the doctor came.• The light had gone before I entered the room.

BEFORE

• If a sentence contains v(1st) or has/ have +v(3rd) and after before then after before v(1st) will also come.

• He takes milk before he goes to bed.• My mother prepares tea before father comes from the office.

AFTER

• If a sentence contains v(2nd) before after then had + v(3rd) will come after ‘after’.

• My mother washed my clothes after I had gone to school.• After I had finished my homework , I went to play.
