    ABOUT THE EVENT:

    The competition is a two part event that aims to test the marketing acumen of students from campuses

    across the country. The winners, along with exciting cash prizes, will also earn the title of Indias

    best marketing campus.

    EVENT FORMAT:

    Round 1: Online Market Simulation Event

    Teams will have to battle online with other teams on a simulator to understand and take control of the

    market for a product. Teams can make decisions based on various parameters provided to them and

    these can be input to the system. Competing teams from campuses across the country will also have

    access to the same data about the market and will also input their decisions. The simulation will then

    run for a pre-determined period of time and the effects of the decisions of the team and all competitors

    will then play out in the market. The teams performance will be calculated and dynamically updated

    by the simulator. The simulation will take place in slots spread over 2 days. The timings of these slots

    and further details about the simulation will be provided post registration to registered teams.

    Round 2: Campus Event

    Top Six teams based on the performance would qualify for the Round 2 and will be called to the

    hallowed grounds of the Mecca of Marketing for the campus event. In case multiple teams from thesame campus feature in the top 6, a maximum of two teams per campus would be called for the

    campus event. Further details about the campus event will be provided to the shortlisted teams.

    TEAM SIZE AND COMPOSITION:

    Teams can have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members. No member can be a part of more than one team. All members of the teammust be from the same campus (cross-college teams not allowed). Teams can consist of members from different years and / or courses. In a team there should not be more than one member going on exchange.

    GENERAL RULES:

    1. All decisions of Niche in relation to the competition shall be final and no queries orcorrespondence will be entertained in this regard.

    2. Any unethical means used by the participant will result in instant disqualification. If malpracticesare found later, then the award including the prize money would be forfeited and the participant is

    liable to payback the award received

    3. Acceptance of the Rules by any member of the Student Team shall be deemed acceptance by theParticipant and by the other members of the Student Team.

    4. Niche reserves the right to verify the validity of the information provided by the Student Teams atany time during the Contest and to request copies of the identity cards and/or student cards issued

    by the concerned appropriate campus authority. Any incorrect or false information provided by

    any Student/Student Team may result in disqualification of the Student Team.

    5. The registered Student Team must choose a team name (hereinafter called "the Team Name").This will be used in all subsequent communication in relation to the Contest. The Team Name

    submitted during Registration cannot be subsequently modified.

    6. All the members of the Teams must provide a valid e-mail address at the time of Registration. Thee-mail addresses provided would be used for future correspondence.

    7. Any Student registering or found registered as part of more than one Student Team shall cause theautomatic disqualification of the concerned Student Team(s) of which he/she is a student.

    8. Niche reserves the right to refuse the participation of, or to disqualify any Student Team and/orParticipant from the Contest at any time. All decisions taken by Niche, including any decision to

    refuse participation of or to disqualify any Student Team and/or Participant from the Contest shall

    be final and binding on the Participants.

    9. Additional Provisionsa. Niche reserves the right to shorten, modify or cancel the Contest at any time, without

    assigning any reason, especially in the event of bugs, viruses or unauthorised human

    intervention that would bring into question the administration, the security or the proper

    functioning of the Contest.

    b. Niche shall have no liability in the event of such shortening or modification or cancellation,and neither the Participants nor the Student Teams shall be entitled to make any claim against

    Niche in this regard.

    c. Niche specifically reserves the right to waive/modify any of the Rules of the Challenge.

    d. Niche is not responsible for the entry errors of details provided by the Student Teams, forincorrect/invalid e-mail addresses related to the Contest.

    e. The decisions of Niche in relation to any dispute arising out of or relating to the Contest shallbe final and binding on the Participants, Student Teams and Students, and no correspondence

    will be entertained in this regard.
