QUALIFICATIONS

The residence of competitor is the state of which he / she have permanent residencestatus.

It is also the responsibility of Coach, Team Manager and State Association to verify theage of competitors.

Note : - There is 2 years disqualification period for all Athletes/ State Officials forsubmitting false Information

A Competitor can be member of and compete only one team

PROPS

No props or special equipment may be used to add to the creativity and / or the degree of difficulty of the routine e.g. Lolo ball, jogs ball, skip stick, mini trampoline, board, mats, hats, glasses, jeans, shirts etc.

The Age Group will be categorized by SGFI Technical Committee in the following way

CODE OF CONDUCT

Sportsmanship and discipline are the almost importance and expected of allParticipant, Coaches and Spectators

All Participant, Coaches and Spectators must not distract another competitors

which he/she is competing

Coaches and Spectators are not to enter the competition there will be nocoaching from the side line by any one

In the team competitions the extra number of the competition team may be oncompetitions floor and may only encourage his/her competition team member.This member must be registered as a part of competition team. Violation of thisrule will be reviewed by the Rule Committee

If possible we should congratulate others, whether they are teammate or not,for any effort well done and we should rejoice in the successes of others

whether big or small.

We should be pleased and proud to share skills and techniques with others tosee others improve because that helps our sport improve

We should always treat everyone else with the same respect courtesy andkindness, as we would like them to show us

If a Rope or a handle breaks a repeat attempt is permitted after a suitable restPeriod

There will be disqualification after 3 calls out at the time of Championship.

The States Representative should submit the entry form before 15 days fromChampionship

The States are responsible to take away there skippers from the jury table.

If a State having any query or confusion then only one member except Skipper will allow to have talked with Judges.

Team Manager & Coach should be there at Championship venue during Championship

MUSIC

The use of music is optional in freestyle event but if it is used an impressionof creativity must be shown. The routine must fit on music it will be punished

with a deduction of points for Creativity.

UNIFORM

A. Each state must decide on their team uniform, which must correspond.

B. National team uniform may have Team Name Sponsor and/or logodisplayed during the competition.

C. Well cushioned sport shoes will absorb better impact. Supportive athleticsshoes and socks must be worn to protect the skipper’ s feet

D. No items of jewellery may be worn. The exceptions are a wedding band, earstudsand medic alert bresclate

APPEALS: A five person Appeal Committee will be appointed by the JRFI Executive for the

championships. The Committee will have jurisdiction over all ruleinterpretations and disagreements that occur.

This committee will be chaired by the Technical Director who as the ChairPerson will not vote and will consist of the Championship Director, twomembers of Rules Committee and two Senior Skippers . There should not bemore than one person from the same state on the appeal committee.

One designated team official who is declared by each state prior to thechampionships may only make appeals.

In the first instance the designated Official, nominated representative from astate will make an informal, verbal request for clarification or ruling from theChampionship Director. Should an unsatisfactory response be given then a

written appeal is to be submitted to the Appeal Committee with a deposit of Rs1000 /-

The Appeal Committee will hear an appeal at the first Opportunity, at theChampionships and render a decision before the Distribution of Result.

All the Judges & Referees must be Official JRFI Judges & Referees who haveattend the mandatory Judges Clinic to be held before Championship

CORRECT ROPE LENGTH The length of the rope should be right for your height. Stand on the center of the

Rope, and lift the handles upward. The point where the handles meet the rope should be level with your armpits.

Some types of rope allow you to cut them down to size but if your rope is the wrong length don't despair! Tie knots near the handles to make alterations a good idea if

more than one person is going to be using the same rope.

Double Dutch Ropes are between 4 and 6 meter long.

Long ropes are 10 meter long.

Single Rope 30 second Speed Event

EVENT Here, in this event there will bealternate jumping & it will be countedas 1 whenever right feet touches the

ground.

TIME LIMIT: 30 Seconds

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

Single Rope Double Under 30 sec Event

EVENT To perform a double under, theparticipant needs to jump up a bit

higher than usual while swinging therope twice under his feet.

TIME LIMIT: 30 Seconds

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

CALL OUT: “Judges Ready, Skippers Ready, Set Go,10, 20, Stop. “

COUNTING MISSES/ DEDUCTIONS:

There is 0.5 point deduction for Time Violation and Space Violation

Single Rope Free style EventEVENT To perform a freestyle, the participant

needs to jump with the various complexacrobatic skills. This event is basically

done on the music.

TIME LIMIT: 45 – 75 seconds

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

CALL OUT:“Judges Ready, Skippers Ready, Set Go,

35, 45, 55, 65 sec, Stop. “

COUNTING MISSES/ DEDUCTIONS:

There is 0.5 point deduction for Time Violation and Space Violation

Misses will be recorded as Minor/MajorMisses by the Creativity / TechnicalMerit Judges. A Minor Miss is a 0.5

point deduction and a Major Miss is a1.0 point deduction

GOAL To compete as many jumps as possible

EXECUTION REQUIREMENT

The Freestyle is any combination of 5 skills put together into a routine limitedonly by the imagination of the skipper. The scoring of freestyle event is by thepanel of judges is based in the following: -

DIFICULTYThere will be 3 points of difficulty of the skills (whether they are basic,intermediate or advanced jumps) is taken into consideration when scoring freestyle.

The more skills if greater difficulty completed and the executed correctly within the time limit will mean the higher on score.

CREATIVITY:-

The way the skills fit together , the flows of the skills and the combinations , the movements in the competition area , fancy feet , speed changes and the

starting and ending of the routines.

The same panel of 3 judges, judges the creativity and technical executions

TECHNICAL EXECUTION

The technical execution is judged by the technical judges.

The skipper exhibits the correct technique for the skills chosen in the routine,power, strength, acrobatics movements, body inversions and the smooth flow of

the routine

MUSIC

The use of music is optional but if it is used an impression of creativity must beshown. The routine must fit on music it will be punished with a deduction of points forcreativity.

FREESTYLE SPECIFICS

Degree of difficulty 3 Judges – A, B, CCreativity and Technical Merit 3 Judges – X, Y, and Z

Each Judge can award up to 10 points

Add all 3 difficulty scores and divide the total by 3 for the average

(A + B + C)/ 3 = D

Add all 3 creativity scores and divide the total by 3 for the average

(X + Y + Z) / 3 = E

Now add 2 scores and subtract any deductionD + E = F

Final score = F x 25

Single Rope Speed Relay Event

EVENT To perform a speed relay there will be4 skippers who are performing the

event one by one after 30 sec. Here, in this event there will be alternate jumping & it will be counted as 1

whenever right feet touches the ground.

TIME LIMIT: 4 x 30 seconds = 120 seconds or 2minutes

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

CALL OUT: “Judges Ready, Skippers Ready, Set Go,10, 20, Switch, 10, 20, Switch, 10, 20,

Switch, 10, 20, Stop. “

COUNTING MISSES/ DEDUCTIONS:

There is 0.5 point deduction for Time Violation and Space Violation

Misses will be recorded as Minor/MajorMisses by the Creativity / TechnicalMerit Judges. A Minor Miss is a 0.5

CHANGING SKIPPERS - SWITCH

For the Single Rope speed relay event the first skipper completes as many as jumps aspossible in the first 30 seconds. At the 30 second mark, the command “Switch” iscalled out by the timer.

The first skipper stops skipping and the second skipper begin and go for the next 30seconds.

There is no break in timing for the switch to be made.

The procedure is repeated for the third and fourth skippers.

A false switch result in 5 points deduction.

A false start also brings in 5 points deduction.

When “Switch” is called the counting is stopped until the next skipper begins with theirright foot hitting the floor and the rope passing under the right foot cleanly

A False Switch is when a skipper starts skipping before the call of “Switch”.In the Single Rope Speed Relay Event, the 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th skippers must be allowed tocomplete the event.

A False start is when the skipper start to turn or move the rope before the word “Go”

If a skipper commits a false start there will be a – 5 point deduction from the skipper’ s

score. If a false start is detected the judges do not stop the skipper , there will beallowed to complete the event

EVENT To perform a Double Under relay there will be 4 skippers who are performing the event one by one after 30 sec. Toperform a double under, the participant

needs to jump up a bit higher than

usual while swinging the rope twice under his feet.

TIME LIMIT: 4 x 30 seconds = 120 seconds or 2minutes

ROPES: Any Single Rope may be used.

CALL OUT: “Judges Ready, Skippers Ready, Set Go,10, 20, Switch, 10, 20, Switch, 10, 20,
