TRYA try is a way of scoring points in rugby. A try is scored by grounding

the ball in the opposition's in-goal area .The term try comes from try at goal, signifying that originally, grounding the ball only gave the

opportunity to try to score with a kick at goal.

TACKLINGRugby football have a move known as a tackle. The primary purposes of tackling are to dispossess an opponent of the ball, to stop the player from gaining ground towards goal or to stop them from carrying out what they intend.In rugby league the ball-carrier only may be tackled by any number of defenders from any direction. The initial contact in the tackle must be made below the ball carrier's neck or it will be deemed a high tackle and penalised.
