'Weakly foliated mod chloritic mafic volcanic with minor biotite. Negligable veining and sulphide. Overall, basalt is fairly fresh, with bolh biotite and chlorite being of metamorphic origin. Non-magnetic with no Nmatrix carbonate.
.@ 76.45 LC 22.00"./Brecciated zone containing 20-30^0 chert clasts, and SO-40% mafic clasts in a chloritic matrix containing S-4% Py and S-7% Po. Pyrite is dominant over the upper 0.5m whereas, the rest of the unit is Po dominant. Well preserved bedding near lower contact. Unit likely is tectonized interflow cherty sediment. H Med grey to dark green massive to weakly foliated and weakly to mod chloritic mafic volcanic. No matrix carb, but local zones of calcite veining and breccia. Non-magnetic (except where Po-bearing). Negligable H sulphide except for a 1 -2cm wide Po seam @ 83.90m and in zones of hyaloclastite^) which contain uptoS-6% Poand T-2% Py. Local mgr, needley texture reminiscent of spinifex, but overall rock appears more H thnlairtinM (tChl 5.00-10.00^0" w Gc I.OQ-2.00%* * overall Po 0.10-1 .OOVon
"Breccia containing 0.5- 10cm clasts of chert and mafic volcanic. Rock is chloritic, but quite hard suggesting moderate silicification. Section contains a network of Po, most of which is interpreted to be of --.'."\ replacement origin, although some may be clasts of primary Po. Rare, late hairline fractures of dark green to black chlorite. Strongly magnetic.
\Hole stopped before target depth due to drilling difficulties.
