Rutgers University Labor and Employment Relations Association (RU LERA) is an organizing chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association. RU LERA is an academic, professional, and social organization established in the fall of 2014. Our goal is to provide an environment that allows students to broaden their perspectives, take advantage of opportunities, and develop personal growth in the field of academics and relationships. Membership of RU LERA is open to ALL Rutgers University undergraduate students, as well as SMLR/LER graduate students and alumni, interested in the advancement of labor studies and employment relations. “RU LERA is led by students for the enrichment of students.” About Us We are RU LERA, comprised of a student body, focused on the development of labor practices through education and establishing networking opportunities for our members and working professionals. We aim to provide workshops and events that promote the engagement of labor topics, research, legal matters and exchanges regarding people and the workplace. Our Mission WORKPLACE ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION CONFERENCE OCTOBER 16, 2014 Our Event Was an Amazing Success! With over 100 students, and professionals in attendance, our outstanding panel of neutrals clearly outlined what it means to become a successful arbitrator or mediator. Taking the advice of our guests, we plan to increase our professional network to deliver more events of the same or greater magnitude.
