To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to highly recommend R. Sean Kelly as an English Teacher in your school

division.

I had the opportunity to work with Sean as his University Supervisor during his Student

Teaching Experience. He did an excellent job as a student teacher where he was involved inteaching diverse students of all academic levels. He developed good rapport with his students

and often used higher level questioning to involve them in class discussions. Sean also gave

constructive criticism and informative/corrective feedback to the work of the students.

Sean was very committed to becoming a good teacher, He dressed and spoke professionally at

all times, He got along well with the *udents, parents, administrators and other peers.

Sean prepared very detailed lesson plans. He used various techniques to teach his students such

as enhancing his lessons with very interesting power points and videos. He used both small and

large group instruction. He also encouraged his students to write'

To Whom It May Concern:

It has been my sincere pleasure to act as Sean Kelly's cooperating teacher this semester. He

successfully managed my five class assignments which included standard, college preparatory,

honors and collaborative learning levels. In my twenty six years of teaching, I have hosted

numerous student teachgrs, and none have produced more impressive lesson plans than Mr.Kelly. He researched extensively for every lesson. His knowledge of the material extended far

beyond the expected; in every circumstance he was capable of providing exciting supplementary

information, steering interested students towards resources that allowed them to further explore

the topics on their own. He approached classroom instruction using a variety of instructionalmethods that focused on the 2l" century skills of collaboration, media literacy, and the use oftechnology. I was most impressed with Mr. Kelly's ability to draw connections between the

presented subject matter and the students' lives; whenever it was appropriate to do so, he related

class themes to popular music and mddia.

Mr. Kelly is not afraid of hard work, and I am sure he will be successful in any teaching

environment. He truly wants students to learn and will go the extra mile to make sure he makes

that happen. I would recommend Sean Kelly with no reservations for any teaching position.

Sincerely,

Reference: Richard "Sean" Kelly

It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Richard "Sean"

Kelly. He was a student in my course, EDUC S5O/Content Area Reading, during

the summer o'f 2010.|n this course, he was an extremely fine student, earning an

average overall of 99.9. He demonstrated not only strong knowledge of course

content, but also traits of creativity, responsibility, reliability and organization. He

was reflective and thorough in his approach to the course.

Assignments in this course included development of lesson plans,

midterm and final exams, weekly exercises and participation. Mr. Kelly was

thoughtful and careful about each assignment. He. One lesson assignment

applied course content very effectively to his major in English, with a writing and

poetry lesson. Another lesson applied to his co-major in art, incorporating

lnternet and pixel art as resources. Because these plans were so well designed, I

requested to include them as examples on the Blackboard course site for future

students to review.

Overall, Mr. Kelly's lessons demonstrated great potential for stimulating

student interest and connections to their real world, while presenting content in

an innovative and inshuctionally sound manner.

Mr. Kelly showed a genuine commitment to becoming a teacher; I believe

he would work well with adolescents and take an enthusiast interest in their

education. I recommend him highly.

Sincerely,
