INTRODUCTION

RSF Elektronik Ges.m.b.H (Tarsdorf, Austria) and Numerik Jena GmbH (Jena, Germany) are worldwide manufacturers and distributors of linear and rotary encoders commonly used as position feedback devices for CNC and manual machines. The flexible design of our products allows the machine design engineer a great deal of latitude to select product features that match the design requirements. The end result is a customized encoder, meeting the overall system requirements, typically delivered in less than 6 weeks.

RSF ElektronikRSF Elektronik manufactures open, enclosed and bearing guided linear encoders in Austria, near Salzburg. It was founded in 1973 and has grown steadily since then. It currently employs more than 200 people at the main plant, with additional persons worldwide as part of their global sales network. Direct regional offices are located in USA, South Korea, Switzerland, Slovenia and China. Distributors are located in nearly every industrialized country in the world.

RSF Elektronik designs and builds all of the critical elements of a complete encoder. The scales are produced on-site under the trade name SENTOP. Printed circuit boards are manufactured utilizing owned SMT pick and place equipment. High product quality is ensured through continuous quality monitoring throughout all steps of production as well as functional testing before shipment. High accuracy products also undergo a certified calibration and results of this test are provided with the product in the form of an accuracy chart. Our manufacturing processes are ISO 9001certified and all products conform to CE requirements.

Numerik JenaNumerik Jena is located in Jena, Germany, a European technological center known for high precision measurement and optics. This former Carl Zeiss company was purchased in 1997. At that time it employed approximately 40 persons. Today it employs more than 80 people and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Distribution throughout the industrialized world, except for Germany where sales are direct, is accomplished through a network of related andindependent companies.

Numerik Jena designs and builds all of the critical elements of a complete encoder. Rotary disks and linear scales are produced on-site within clean room facilities. Printed circuit boards are manufactured utilizing owned SMT pick and place equipment.
