Dear Andy,My last book had very good illustrations that helped me understand the book, I always use illustrations to help me when I read.
The book I am reading at the moment is called ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ it is by Maurice Sendak. It is about the imaginary adventures of a boy called Max. Max is angry after being sent to his room without supper. Max wears a distinctive wolf suit during his adventures and encounters various mythical creatures.
When I was reading this book I thought about all the imaginary adventures I have. I often daydream and imagine myself doing different things like being a racing car driver or a movie star.
I really like the illustrations in this book because they are dark and add a creepy feel to the story. I am going to look for other books by this author.
Best regards,Erik
