Welcome to the Royal Internatonal Miss 2017 Internatonal Pageant! We areso excited that you have chosen to join us for this amazing event. We hope that

you will take the opportunity this week to build lifelong friendships andmemories that will last forever.

Our commitment to you is that we will provide an excitng and fair event foreveryone. We have tried our best to ensure that our judges are unbiased and

are not familiar with our contestants. The decisions of our judges will be solelytheirs and these decisions will be fnal.

We want this week to be a wonderful experience for both the contestants andtheir families. If you have any concerns throughout the week, please let a staf

member know immediately so that we may address the concern right away.Please do not wait untl you get back home to inform us of a situaton thatcould have been resolved immediately. Our staf and directors are here to

serve you, so please allow us the opportunity to help make this a fantastc weekfor all!!

We created this pageant system to help empower young women and give themwonderful opportunites to grow and develop a positve self image as well as

cultvate their talents and public speaking abilites. We believe that theseenvironments promote good sportsmanship and an opportunity to build

lifelong friendships. Our hope is that you encourage your daughters to realizethat they are all winners in all that they do and that they are not defned bywhether or not they leave with a crown on their head. Beauty comes from

within!!

Each contestant will be treated with the utmost of respect from ourorganizaton, and we ask that contestants treat each other with that same

respect. At the end of the day, this is just a pageant, and our character will bedefned by our hearts and actons, not whether we win or lose. We hope you all

enjoy your experience with us, and we welcome your comments andsuggestons to help ensure that we contnue to provide a pleasant experience in

the future.

Required CompettonsAge Divisions: 5-7 Princess, 8-10 Sweetheart, 11-13 Preteen, 14-16 Jr. Teen, 17-19 Teen, 20-24 Miss, and 25 + MS

*Age as of July 1st, 2017

Introducton (15% of total score): Each contestant will deliver a personal introducton on stage. This introducton should include name, hobbies, hometown and personal ambiton. The introducton should not exceed 45seconds. This is your tme to share a litle more about yourself with our judges…..so be creatve!! (Delegate will wear interview atre)

Interview (35% of total score): Each contestant will have a personal one-on-one interview with each judge. Questons can come from the informaton in the delegate’s personal introducton. Contestants may choose to wear either an interview suit or business dress.

Fashion Wear (25% of total score): Contestants will model a fashion forward outit of their choice. This should be an outit that defnes the contestant’s personal sense of style, fashion, and personality. Think of something you might wear to a premiere event or party.

Evening Gown (25% of total score): The evening gown should be foor length for all divisions. Gowns may be beaded or embellished and of glamorous style. No cupcake style dresses are allowed. The evening gown a contestant chooses should refect their personal style and compliment their personality. Please keep gowns age appropriate.

JudgingEach judge will enter a score from 1-15 for each of the 4 required compettons. Afer the preliminary compettons, the top fnalists in each division will be determined. Those fnalists will re-compete in the Fashion Wear and Introducton categories. The new Fashion Wear competton willaccount for 15% of the overall score, the new introducton score will account for 15% of the overall score and the Preliminary score will accountfor 70% of the overall score. In the event of a te, the judges will rank the top fve delegates and their decision will determine the divisional winner.There will then be a frst, second, third and fourth runner up in each age division.

Hair and MakeupThere is no makeup allowed on contestants in the Princess or Sweetheart divisions during the Interview and onstage Introducton portons of the competton. Makeup for all other divisions should be kept natural and business-like for the Interview and Introducton compettons. Light, age appropriate stage makeup is allowed during all on stage compettons for the Princess and Sweetheart divisions. When worn, makeup should enhance the contestant’s natural beauty and should not overpower them. Hair styles should complement the contestant’s natural beauty.

ScholarshipThe overall winner in each division in additon to being crowned the 2017 Internatonal Royal Internatonal Miss will win a cash scholarship. The amount of the scholarship will be based on the number of contestants in each age division. The scholarship will be calculated based upon 70% of $100.00 for each contestant in the division. The $100.00 is already included in the total Internatonal Pageant Fees and does not have to be paid separately by the contestant. All scholarship monies are paid in two disbursements: ½ of the award is paid at the fnale of the 2017 Internatonal Pageant upon signing of the Internatonal contract and the remaining award is paid at the fnale of the 2018 Internatonal Pageant and assumes fulfllment of all contractual obligatons as set forth in the Internatonal Queen’s contract.

Royal Role Model ProgramRole models with Integrity dedicated to Mentoring today's youth and

tomorrow's leaders.

Royal International Miss is dedicated to teaching young girls/women leadership skills through service and giving back to others.

We will crown 3 2017 International Role Models (1 International Jr. Role Model (from the Princess and Sweetheart divisions combined, 1International Role Model from the Pre-Teen and Jr. Teendivisions combined, and 1 International Role Model from theTeen, Miss, and MS combined). We will also crown 1 2017International Ambassador.

Royal Top Model Competition

Royal Top Model Competton: $150.00 entry fee

This competton will be unlike any other!! You will get the experience of being a professional model for the day. Bring your best fashion wear and model smile and prepare tohave a blast. We are looking for a fresh face with a sense of style and glamour that is fashion forward and full of personality. Are you the next Royal Top Model??

This competton consists of TWO parts.

Part one: “Picture Perfect” Contestant will have a professional photo shoot on scene with a professional photographer. She will be taking model shots to include full body and head shots. Each contestant’s photo shoot will last for 10 minutes. Clothing will be of contestant’s choice, but only one outit is allowed. What defnes a top fashion model to you?? (Please keep clothing appropriate) You may use accessories such as scarf, wrap, etc., but remember that the judges want to see your beautful face. Only the photographer, the contestant and the panel of judges will be present for this part of the competton.

Scoring: Judges will be present during the photo shoot and will review photos afer the fnal photo shoot is completed. Each judge will give a score of 1-15 based upon content of the photo, beauty, style, and contestant’s performance during the photo shoot. These scores will be combined with the scores from part 2 of the competton for the overall winner for each division.

Part two: Contestant will walk “the catwalk”!! This will be a modeling competton on the main stage and runway. Contestant can choose any patern or modeling sequence they desire. Maximum stage tme will be one minute. Contestant may choose to wear the same outit from the photo shoot, or a diferent outit for this porton of the competton.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based upon the contestant’s fashion sense, modeling ability and overall stage presence that makes her a “top model”. These scores will be combined with the scores from part one to determine the overall winner in each division. Each porton of this competton is worth 50% of the total score for the Royal Top Model. The highest score in each division will be crowned Internatonal Royal Top Model.

**for the Royal Top Model competton, the Miss and MS. Divisions will be combined. **Must have a minimum of 3 contestants in a division or that division will be combined with the division above it.

Talent Competition

Talent Competton: $125.00 per entry

Contestants will need to bring their own music on a CD labeled with their name and division. Please make sure to bring a backup CD to the competton with you. Entries must not exceed 2.5 minutes. Small props are allowed, but must able to be carried onstage by no more than one person. Prop should be an integral part of the performance. We will provide a handheld wireless microphone. All other items needed must be provided by the contestant. Piano will NOT be available. More than one entry is allowed.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based upon content, ability, and overall performance. Judges will break all tes.

Award: Overall talent winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown and $250.00 cash award.

**Must have a minimum of 3 contestants in a division or that division will be combined with the division above it.

International SpokesmodelInternatonal Spokesmodel: $125.00 entry fee

Contestant will deliver a speech based on their choice of topics provided by the Internatonal ofce. (Topics will be provided in the Internatonal newsleter prior to the Internatonal pageant.)

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based upon the contestant’s overall stage presence, content and delivery of the speech.

Award: Overall Spokesmodel winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown, and a $250.00 cash award

** There must be a minimum of three contestants in this optonal or the division will be combined with the next division up.

Purple Passion

Purple Passion: $125.00 Entry Fee

This competton is for our non-proft organizaton, Dream Royal. All of the proceeds from this event will go directly to The Dream Royal Scholarship fund.

Delegates can rock the runway in their favorite purple outit in this fun modeling competton. (No swimsuits or props)

More than one entry is allowed.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based on originality, poise, and stage presence.

Award: Overall winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown and a $250.00 cash award.

** There must be a minimum of three contestants in this optonal or the division will be combined with the next division up.

Casual Wear CompetitionCasual Wear Competton: $125.00 Entry Fee

This is your tme to shine on the runway in this fun and upbeat competton. Delegatesshould choose a casual wear outit that suits their personality and sense of style. No pro-am modeling or glitz style clothing. More than one entry is allowed

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based on poise, stage presence and overall appearance.

Award: Overall winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown and a $250.00 cash award.

** There must be a minimum of three contestants in this optonal or the division will be combined with the next division up.

Fitness Wear CompetitionCasual Wear Competton: $125.00 Entry Fee

This competton is for preteen and up only. Every contestant will be given the same ftness wear routne at Internatonals. Outits should be ftness wear. No swimsuits or swimsuit like outits can be worn. Please see website for examples of appropriate outit choices.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based on routne performance and level of physical ftness.

Award: Overall winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown and a $250.00 cash award.

** There must be a minimum of three contestants in this optonal or the division will be combined with the next division up.

Photogenic CompetitionPhotogenic Competton: $125.00 Entry Fee (per photo)

Photos submited may be either color or b&w and must be either 5x7 or 8x10. Photoscan be either professional or candids. Put your best face forward! Photos will be submited at the tme of registraton. Please have photos in sheet or photo protectorsand have your name and division on each photo submited.

More than one entry is allowed.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 for each photo.

Award: Overall photogenic winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown, $250.00 cash award, and a personal one look photo shoot from our professional photographer.

Photo Model Competition (Portfolio)

Photo Model Competton (Portolio): $125.00 Entry Fee

Contestant will submit a collecton of 7-10 photos in a portolio. Photos may be either5x7 or 8x10 and can be either color or b&w. There must be a minimum of one full body shot and one headshot in the collecton.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 for each portolio.

Award: There will be one winner in the Princess/Sweetheart combined, one winner in the Pre-Teen/Jr. Teen combined and one winner Teen/Miss/MS divisions combined. The winner will receive a beautful trophy, a custom crown, sash, a personal one look photo shoot with our professional photographer and a $250.00 cash award.

Video Talent Competition

Video Talent Competton: $125.00 Entry Fee

This excitng competton will be for those delegates who may have a talent that cannot be performed on the stage. (Ex: Horse jumping, ice skatng, etc. ) This will strictly be limited to those entries that are NOT able to be performed at the Internatonal pageant. Entries can be mailed to the Internatonal ofce or submited electronically through email or dropbox. All entries must be in by July 1st, 2016.

There will be one winner in the Princess/Sweetheart, Pre-Teen/Jr. Teen, and Teen/Miss/MS divisions.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based upon content, ability, and overall performance. Judges will break all tes.

Award: Overall talent winner for each division will receive a beautful trophy, sash, custom crown and $250.00 cash award.

Power Of The Crown

Power Of The Crown: Free Entry

Contestant must submit a short video statng how becoming a Royal InterInternatonal Miss regional or state ttleholder has changed her life. The video should be no longer than 2 minutes. Entries can be mailed to the Internatonal ofce or submited electronically through email or dropbox. All entries must be in by July 1st,2017.

Scoring: Each judge will give a score from 1-15 based upon content, sincerity and speaking ability. Judges will break all tes.

Award: There will be one winner in the Princess/Sweetheart division and one winner in the Pre-Teen/Jr. Teen, Teen/Miss/MS divisions. The winner will receive a beautful trophy and will be featured in an RIM advertsing campaign.

International Supermodel

Internatonal Supermodel Competton: Free Entry

The highest combined score for the casual wear competton and the photogenic competton will be awarded the Internatonal Supermodel.

There will be one winner in each division. To be eligible, you must be entered in both the Casual Wear and the Photogenic compettons.

Winners will receive a beautful trophy.

Academic Achievement

Academic Achievement Competton: Free Entry

Contestants who choose to enter this optonal will need to complete the Academic Achievement Form. This form as well as a copy of the report card/transcript will need to be turned in at registraton.

International Scrapbook

Internatonal Scrapbook Competton: Free Entry

Contestants may submit a scrapbook of press releases and photos of events that they have partcipated in during their reign as a Royal Internatonal Miss State Queen.

Volunteer Service

Volunteer Service Competton: Free Entry

Contestants who choose to enter this optonal will need to complete the Volunteer Service form. This form will be due at registraton.*May include service from 7/1/2016 through 7/1/2017.

International Appearance Award

Delegates who have made appearances in their communites throughout the year of their reign are eligible for this award. The Internatonal appearance forms should be submited at registraton.

Regal Excellence Award

The Regal Excellence Award will be presented to the contestants who earn at least 4 credits from optonal compettons they partcipate in during the week of the Internatonal pageant. It will be a great keepsake award for all of your eforts. Simply add the total number of Royal Spirit points from the optonal you partcipate in and submit them on the form provided. Spirit award points: Royal Top Model (2 points), Casual Wear (1 point), Photogenic (1 point), Portolio (1 point), Spokesmodel (1 point), Purple Passion (1 point), Talent (1 point), Video Talent (1 point), Fitness wear (1 point), Power of the Crown (1 point).

Program Book

Each contestant will need to provide a headshot for the program book. It will also be used inthe judges program book so this will be the first impression they have of you. The deadline tosubmit your photo is April 20th, 2017. If your photo is not submitted in time and/or does not

meet the following requirements a “photo not available” icon will be used with your name andtitle in the program book. All photos should be sent to graphics@royalinternationalmiss.comwith PROGRAM BOOK HEADSHOT, NAME & TITLE in the subject. Names & titles willbe copied from the subject into the book so please make sure everything is spelled correctly.

Head Shot Requirements:- Your picture must be current (within the past 6 months)

- Photo must NOT include a crown or sash or any type of hat- Try to keep make-up clean and simple, do not cover face with hair, hands or jewelry

- Photo should be high resolution (300 dpi), in color & in .jpeg format- Cell phone photos, computer prints or copies will not be accepted

Each contestant will have one personal full page in the program book. The deadline to submityour ad page is May 1st, 2017. All ad pages should be sent to

graphics@royalinternationalmiss.com. If your ad page is not submitted on time it will not beincluded in the book.

Ad Page Requirements:- Must be high resolution (300 dpi)

-Must be saved in .pdf format-Ad size is 8.5x11 with .25” bleed on all sides (left, right, top bottom)

*Samples of personal pages will posted in the delegate login area of the website.*If you would like to have your ad page designed by our graphic designer you can do so for an

additional fee of $50. Our graphic designer is Shawna of iCandy Photography and graphicsand can be contacted at digitalicandy@verizon.net.

Want to become to 2017International Cover Miss??The contestant that sells the most ad pages for the 2017 International Program

book will be crowned International Cover Miss for 2017 (minimum 5 full pagessold – not including personal page). She will win a custom crown, embroidered

sash, beautiful trophy, and a $700.00 cash award

**Any contestant who sells at least 8 full pages (not including the personal page)will receive a 4 day/3 night cruise aboard Royal Caribbean on our Royalty cruiseand will be featured in Royal International Miss digital and print ad campaigns

throughout the year.

All contestants that sell a minimum of 2 full page ads (not including the personalpage) will be crowned International Cover Model for 2017. She will receive a

custom crown, embroidered sash, and a beautiful trophy
