About Royal GalleryOur mission at Royal Gallery is to always display the finest quality and classically inspired local, national, and interna-tional artwork. The work on display is an eclectic sampling of the artists the gallery represents. Although their subject matter is reminiscent of classical realism, their work ranges largely in size, use of color, techniques, and emotional involvement, making the collection uniquely diverse, and worthy of admira-tion.

Anyone that comes through our doors is welcome to enjoy the work on display and becomes a friend. It is in essence the wide range of work and accomodations that make our audience feel at home and leave with a piece of it.

Exhibitions are free and open to the public. Royal Gallery is proud to be tax free and wheelchair accessible. Our location on historic Federal Hill in Provi-dence, allows us to benefit of a deeply rooted cultural environ-ment. The rest of the restaurants, shops, and galleries make this area a must see destination filled with excitement.

Yana MovchanYana Movchan’s reverence for the beauty and bounty of the natural world is apparent both in the care with which she depicts her subjects and the sentiment that she imparts to all her viewers. Her inspiration comes from both “Classical Renaissance” and “Magical Realism” eras. This creates a body of work that is incredibly complex, both visually and intellectually, asserting her remarkable command of light, color, and composition. Her

work is formal, yet playful; contemporary, yet timeless; and joyous, yet mysterious, evocative and dreamlike. Yana trained at the Ukrai-nian Art Academy. She is based in Halifax, Canada, where she lives with her husband and two young sons.

Del-Bourre BachLandscape...

"I have always been drawn to the beauty of nature in calm and peace-ful places; they are what inspire me. More often than not, I find this essential inspiration in the sea and the life in and around it. I try to capture the essence of where I’ve been and what I’ve observed.”

Del-Bourree Bach is a great artist whose body of work consists predominantly of beautiful, peaceful landscapes.

After a career as an opera singer and illustrator he turned to Fine Arts in 1993. He is a member of many distinguished Painting associations and has received over 150 awards nationwide. He currently lives in Con-necticut with his wife.

Brian MacNeil Brian Mac Neil is an artistic force to be reckoned with. He received a strong foundation in traditional realist representation from the Angel Academy in Florence. Behind the colors, lights and shad-ows wrought into shape, the core value and sensibility of each portrayal are subtly defined. This gives his work a strong presence and expresses his true nature. “My goal as an artist is to portray these subjects in a timeless fashion. It is important to me to show the charac-ter of the people or objects I paint. Success comes when my intentions come through in the paintings, and true beauty is the end result. I try to give the viewers more than meets the eye.”

Each piece represents an intense exploration and refinement of his personal pictorial sensitivities; espe-cially as they relate to beauty, form, light and shade, composition, color, and craftsmanship. Olaf is a prolific Canadian painter inspired by the power and diversity of the northern landscape. He uses color, light, and brushwork to achieve visual harmony. He captures the movement of water, as well as the freshness and clarity of sunlight, which seems to glisten on his surfaces. In describing himself he writes: “Each dab is stimulated by the details that I observe; we see what others miss and then make it compelling. We proudly push and alter the colours to suit our ravenous needs.”

His primary materials are: rebar, steel, glass, and other metals.

And More...

H. M. Saffer II

He is an international traveller, artist, producer, and business man. All aspects of his vibrant and multifaceted life are reflected directly in his now acclaimed collection. Not only in subject, use of color, or mastery of light, but also in his brushtroke techniques of pointil-lism; in a Klimtian fashion not Seurat’s. “Bold, fiery, intense, vivid, and passionate” are just a few words that best describe his artwork. Currently he lives with his family in Upstate NY.

Rawan Rihani Rawan Rihani is a RISD graduate whose artistic passions are manifested through painting and fashion. Her Italian and Middle Eastern heritage melds in a unique style reminiscent of ancient art reinterpreted with modern sensitivity and strong romanticism. Often her paintings are associated with concrete poetry.
