Roy Strickland found these two tin types in an old album of his Aunt Flossie Riley. Roy writes: “A picture of the man with the beard and hair pulled down over his brow used to hang in my grandparent's (James Edward & Lenorah Riley) bedroom at their home in Headland, AL. The story was the man had been kicked by a mule and was hiding the scar with a mop of hair. This man is Daniel Riley, son of John Riley, Sr., and he is pictured in the leftmost tintype with his spouse Mary Brannon Riley. The couple on the right has been identified as James Edward and Lenorah Halstead Riley.
