Routes in & Out of Pooley Bridge Works are being undertaken by CCC in 2019. For your best route into Pooley Bridge please see the information provided below. Revision 1 June- September 2019 · Dunmallard Carpark will be closed from early June onwards. · Alternative Park and Ride site available at Junction of the A592/B5320 · Traffic wishing to park in Pooley Bridge will be able to access across the river until the 3 rd of September 2019. · Please use post code CA102NN via Sat Nav in this period only. September 2019 onwards · Removal of the existing vehicle crossing will take place the first week September. · Access into Pooley Bridge from the west will be by foot across a temporary footbridge from the carpark at the junction of the A592 / B5320 · Additional Parking will be available in Pooley Bridge with signed diversion routes via Penrith. Pooley Bridge East (Village) From Junction 40, follow the A66 towards Brough. At the next roundabout (Fire Station location) take the A6 road over Eamont Bridge and follow signs to Pooley Bridge. From A66 Keswick: Follow A66 (east) across Junction 40 towards Brough. At the next roundabout (Fire Station location) take the A6 road over Eamont Bridge and follow signs to Pooley Bridge. From A66 Durham: At the first roundabout at Penrith, take the A6 road over Eamont Bridge and follow signs to Pooley Bridge. When arriving in Pooley Bridge, please follow the parking signage. Public access to the East and West side of the bridge is available via foot only after September. Please use the footbridge Pooley Bridge West (Steamers) From Junction 40 (see map below) take the A66 towards Keswick then at the first roundabout (Rheged) take the second exit onto the A592 until you get to the temporary car park at the junction of A592/B5320.Parking is available here for the Steamer and access to Pooley Bridge on foot. From A66 Keswick – Take the third exit at Rheged roundabout and follow diversion to the car parking available. From A66 Durham: After crossing over Junction 40 (heading west) take the second exit at Rheged roundabout and follow diversion to the car parking available. Junction 39 (directions from the South) Driving north on the M6 (to access east of Pooley) take junction 39 at Shap and follow the road along the A6 to Pooley Bridge. This route will take you straight to Pooley Bridge Village, and is quicker than via junction 40. Junction 39 (directions from the South)

Driving north on the M6 (to access east of Pooley) takejunction 39 at Shap and follow the road along the A6 to PooleyBridge. This route will take you straight to Pooley BridgeVillage, and is quicker than via junction 40.
