How does it work behind the scenes?Our master mariners and meteorologists plan an optimised route for your vessels based on the best weather information available. The weather information used for RouteGuard is derived from our Nautical MeteoBase (NMB) and contains variables such as surface pressure, wind and waves, current, ice and visibility. Processing this information, MeteoGroup’s experts then select the most favourable route for transit. During and after each trip, we provide detailed performance analysis data of the voyage to see if the ship is performing in accordance with charter party standards.
The RouteGuard service includes initial route recommendation, daily weather and routing updates and post-voyage analysis. Our RouteGuard website provides you with an interactive Google Maps interface enabling you to monitor your fleet, routes and performance.
