Route 66: let’s pick A Life Verse together! Let’s scan the 66 books of the Bible for a potential Life Verse!

1. GOD WILL DO ALMOST TO GET THE OF HIS CHILDREN.

EXODUS 3:1-5 (TNIV) 1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law… and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness... 2 THERE the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight — why the bush does not burn up.” 4 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” 5 “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

2. GOD KEEPS HIS AND ON HIS CHILDREN.

EXODUS 3:7-8 (NIV) 7 The Lord said,

“I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers,

and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them…

PSALM 31:7 (NIV) I will be glad and rejoice in your love,

for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.

3. GOD’S PRESENCE .

EXODUS 34:28-30, 33-35 (TNIV) 28 MOSES WAS THERE WITH THE LORD forty days and forty nights

without eating bread or drinking water. 29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai

with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant

BECAUSE HE HAD SPOKEN WITH THE LORD. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses,

his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.

33 When Moses finished speaking to them,

he put a veil over his face. 34 But WHENEVER HE ENTERED THE LORD’S PRESENCE

TO SPEAK WITH HIM, he removed the veil until he came out.

And when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,

35 they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face

UNTIL HE WENT IN TO SPEAK WITH THE LORD.

4. GOD HIS TO HIS CHILDREN.

EXODUS 34:5-7 (NIV) 5 Then the Lord came down in the cloud and

stood there with him and proclaimed HIS NAME, THE LORD. 6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,

“THE LORD, THE LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,

7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.”
