- Word of God is not a collection of words put together from Him.- His Word is living, it changes our lives, and works in us.- God’s words tells us who we are and what we are not.- Just like a doctor who uses a knife to cut open and organ and goes inside to see. God is the

same thing He looks inside of us to see who we are, how is our spiritual like, sees if we are good or bad.

- We should not just listen to the Word of God and do nothing but we must listen to it and do what it says.

Test kids knowledge about creation: Will play a small game. Will ask kids to place the pictures (sky, animals, Adam, Eve, etc…) to the corresponding day on which these things were created. After kids finish we will correct them and place the pictures on the right day. From the Garden of praise website these are the pictures that the kids will try to order:

Trick to remember the 7 days of creation:One – Run: A running light bulb. Remember that on Day one, God created light.Two – Shoe: A shoe falling from sky reminds us that Day two, God separated the waters and created the sky.Three – Tree: A tree. Helps us remember that on Day three, God created the trees, flowers and grass.Four – Door: The sun and moon going out the door to see the stars reminds us that on Day four, God created the sun, moon and stars.Five – Hive: A bird and a fish going around the hive reminds us that on Day five, God created the birds and fish.Six – sticks: A man and a pig eating sticks! Makes us recall that on Day six, God created all the animals and Adam and Eve.Seven: God rested.

Lesson -Where did we come from? God is our creator, He created everything.-How did God create the earth?We will get the bible and open Genesis chapter 1.Genesis 1:1-5: “1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was without form, and void; darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of waters. 3Then God said: “Let there be light”: and there was light. 4And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first Day. -So after we read this who can tell me how God created the world? Did he take some things together then made the heavens and the earth? What did He do?-Just by saying “Let there be…” God created the earth. He used His Words to create the earth.Out of nothing God called everything: light, heavens, man, woman, animals, plants, etc.-He did all this we humans can see His glory. God and His word are one. John 1:1-2 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. His Word became flesh, our Lord Jesus Christ where He came down on earth to be with us. -Who also was there during creation. Who can tell me (Clue: In verse 2)? The Holy Spirit. -How long did God take to create everything?Ask one of the kids to open 2 Peter 3:8 - The right answer: We don’t know! God created everything from nothing in six unknown (to us) periods of time. “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one

day.” A day could be 24 minutes, 24 hours, 24 years we don’t know only God knows!Conclusion -Who created the world? God.

-How did God create the world? By His own words. -(One of the kids attending name) can you say let there be water and water will be created? No!!! -We must want to live by every word that comes out from the mouth of God (Bible) because His Word is very powerful and will never ever fail or die. Everything in this world will die and fall but the Word of God will always be there. -We have to feel that the Word of God is very powerful; it can do anything…it will never disappoint us nor let us down.

Lesson application -Always read the Bible-Have faith and follow the Word of God (10 commandements)-Know that the word of God is powerful and it does not compare to anyone’s word.

Homework Memorize Psalm 133: “Behold bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord. The Lord who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion!
