About Round TableAn organization of non-political and non-

sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40.

The aim of the young men is to promote service, fellowship and goodwill in National and International affairs.

Round Table has grown to 43,000 members across 52 countries representing every corner of the world.

comprising of businessmen, entrepreneurs, technocrats and professionals.

Community Service ProjectsBlood Typing - 1992 -

Enlisted over 30000 Blood Donors across the country.

Operation Thirst - 1993 -To provide drinking water source to village

people by sinking over 500 bore wells at a cost of over Rs.10 Million.

Dental hygiene for rural children by conducting several dental camps benefiting about 300,000 children in the year 1995.

"Project Touch" – 1997 Adopted 2000 orphan children in association with SOS

Children's village at a cost of Rs.1.5 Million. Braille dictionaries in Tamil and Marathi

RTI released Braille Dictionaries in Tamil and Marathi languages and distributed the same to several blind institutions.

Kargil FundRound Table India performed its National

duty when it collected and handed over a sum of Rs.5.1 Million to the Prime Minister towards the Kargil Fund.

Latur Earthquake - 1993During the earthquake in Latur in 1993, RTI

moved relief material within 24 hours to the earthquake hit villages.

Constructed a Community Welfare Centre in Latur

Orissa Cyclone – 1999-2000RTI launched "Operation Sadhbhavana“Construction of 4 schools at a cost of Rs.

2 Million by the Tables in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

RTI tied up with NOVIB of Netherlands and Centre for Youth Social Development to construct 15 schools at a cost of Rs.13 Million all over Orissa.

Gujarat Earthquake -2001Moved Relief Material from all over India Constructed 14 school buildings at a cost of

over Rs. 28 Million in Kutch and Surendarnagar districts of Gujarat.

Azim Premji Foundation has contributed a sum of Rs. 8 Million towards this initiative.

Tsunami Relief RTI is recognised by Govt. of Tamil Nadu

as one of the 8 NGOs taking up rehabilitation work in Tsunami affected areas.

A total of 120 primary schools were taken up by RTI for complete reconstruction at a cost of 60 Million Rupees – completed in June 2006 RTI also provided boats, fishing nets and

other accessories to the affected fishermen.
