Just days after being elected she had to stand up to the council to save Dolphin Manor care home. She’s stood up to the council and the gov- ernment and won to save Rothwell fire station and this month celebrated saving Windmill youth and community centre from closure. Karen Bruce works closely with Cllr David Nagle and is helped by your local Labour team who are from every walk of life—people just like you: nurses, retired, sales managers, self-employed, barristers and ex-miners. Karen is a full-time councillor and lives in Rothwell with her husband Stuart and her seven-year old daughter who attends a local school.     Karen works hard for the community getting funds to pay for new equipment like the zip wire and climbing frame which will benet all young people, said Gordon Dick, Carlton. Karen said: If re-elected I want to get a new playground and zip wire in Springhead and Woodlesford parks and a new skate park.
