The first female BTC VP for the Northern Bahamas shared the compa-
ny’s progress since Hurricane Matthew with the RCL at last week’s
meeting. Mrs. Mackey stated that this is “BTC Country” and that each
employee has worked diligently to repair the network. Mrs. Mackey
has been instrumental in the launch of many products BTC has to offer
such as; Prepaid Top-up, GSM Mobile Migration & LTE Services to name
a few. Mrs. Mackey concluded by thanking Hurricane Matthew be-
cause without it BTC would not have a brand new fiber network. She
also treated Rotarians to gifts from BTC and informed them of new
packages and offers.
Topic: Interception of Communications Bill, 2017 (known locally
as 'The Spy Bill')
The two schools participating are: Sunland Baptist Academy &
Jack Hayward High School.
Winners will be judged on this criteria: Content, Style and Strate-
gy. The purpose of this debate is train and educate young people
into thinking quick on their feet to resolve matters in the class-
room and in life.

Saving Mothers & Children
Rotary makes high-quality health care available to
vulnerable mothers and children so they can live
longer and grow stronger.
We expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere
can have the same opportunities for a healthy future. An estimated
5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of
malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of
which can be prevented..
Rotary provides women with: Education, Immunizations, Birth kits,
mobile health clinics, teaching first time mothers how to breast feed,
cancer screenings and how to protect themselves and their children
from diseases.
Q: What is a Paul Harris Fellow Award?
A: The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges indi-
viduals who contribute, or who have contributions made in
their name, of US$1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary
International.
It was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and en-
courage substantial contributions to what was then the
Foundation’s only program.
