District 3800 Zone 4 -‐ RY 2014-‐2015
Joint Induction & Turnover Ceremonies
1
It was a rainy Monday night last
14 July 2014 wherein most of the
clubs of Zone 4 of RI District
3800 gathered for their Joint
Induction and Turnover
Ceremonies of the RY 2014-2015
but the weather did not dampen
the spirits of the Rotarians who
attended, as the activity was a
qualified success. The weather
also did not deter the members of
the Rotary E-Club of Marikina as
we made our presence felt with
an attendance of no less than
2
fifteen members and 3 spouses!
Also present were PDG Louie
Ticman and DG Marilou Co to
formally transition the clubs of
District 3800 Zone 4 from the
previous year to the current.
This activity is a great start to the
new Rotary Year and it is with
great pride that the Rotary E-Club
of Marikina participated in the
said event.
We look forward to a banner year
ahead!

President’s Message Dear fellow Rotarians,
Congratulations to our E-Club Officers and Directors who were inducted during the
Marikina Zone Joint Induction and Handover Ceremonies at the Marikina Convention
Center last July 14, 2014. No less than our very own District 3800 Governor Marilou Co
administered our oath of office.
It was our e-club’s first formal appearance in the zone and the district and we made our
presence felt with our strong attendance and active participation. I would like to thank
the following for attending our induction: VP Peanut and spouse CP Patrick; Sec. Adet;
Treasurer Gerick and spouse Ruby; Directors Zarah, Exel, Migz, Nan and Rendi; SAA Lito; PRO
Jet; Rotarians Chelly, Joy, Nette, Nuelvi and Henry and, of course spouse Norlyn. All the officers received their club officer
theme pins while the rest got their Light Up Rotary theme pins too. For those who were not able to make it, we missed you
and we can’t wait to give you your theme pins too when we see each other next.
I also distributed our e-club bannerettes to those present. These were courtesy of the Past District Chair for Club Extension
CP Jess Tan of RC Northbay East. I will bring the rest during our next meeting for those who have not received theirs.
Last week also brought us our first taste of the coming typhoon season with the arrival of Typhoon Glenda. Fortunately,
except for some physical damage to property and inconvenience brought about by the delayed restitution of electric power
supply, none of our members were severely affected by the strong winds. Always stay safe everyone!
We are proceeding full blast with district activities coming up. Most significant is the coming National Rotary Day on August
22, 2014 with no less than RI President Gary Huang coming over to Manila to join us. He will visit the Don Bosco
Streetchildren Tuloy Center in Alabang in the morning with Rotary Community Corps and a dinner banquet in his honor will
be held at the Hotel Sofitel. Prior the dinner we will also have a mass induction of new members by no less than the RIP
president himself. Everyone is invited to attend this rare occasion.
Lastly, an equally important activity of the Rotary Academy will be held on August 2, 2014 from 1 to 6 pm at the Ynares Hall
in Antipolo City. This is an important learning opportunity for all of us so I encourage everyone to attend this.
Another exciting week has passed and we are looking forward to more excitement in the coming weeks. See you all in our
next physical meeting!
Yours in Rotary,
CP Bobby

Secretary’s Corner
Good evening everyone!
We had a very memorable week last week as we had our very 1st induction,
joint with the clubs in our zone (aside from of course during our Chartering). We
had our own pin with corresponding position indicated on it and club
bannerettes, which we proudly presented. Everyone was energetic and enjoyed
the whole event.
Moving forward, we would like to encourage everyone to participate in our
upcoming district activities (see page 2 for more details):
2 August 2014 - Rotary Academy 101 for Zones 4,
5A and 5B at the Ynares Hall, Antipolo City from; 1:00
pm to 6:00 pm; Php300.00 fee; attire: Smart Casual
We would also like to remind everyone of our Club’s Annual Dues of P7,000.00 or Semi-Annual Dues of 3,500.00
which will cover for our RI Dues, district fund, 1 year subscription of PRM, Club listing, and some admin costs
during our physical meeting. We are looking forward to pay the said amount as there is a deadline also coming
from RI.
