Early Settler Community by Room 2

Putting the finishing touches on her early settler church. Inside J has place pews, stain glass windows and an alter.

D is carefully placing a few trees in front of his blacksmith shop. Inside there is an anvil, hearth and many tools that the blacksmith would have used daily to create hooks, horse shoes and other pioneer items necessary to the pioneers homes and barns.

J has been busy adding the last bits of tape and cardboard to her church. The church may have been a simple wooden structure but it was an important part of any early settler community.

Medieval Times by Room 2

The Stephen, Mu, Abby and Brianna group are just about done there medieval castle. Inside the walls of the castle, they have constructed a chapel, kitchen, stable and keep.

M and A have done a great job with their group to construct a castle that contains all the required elements. You can see a chapel ( with the cross on top) and a kitchen that even contains a pig on a spit.

K is constructing the walls of her kitchen. She used toothpicks and tape to make the walls. You can see that she is concentrating on the items that she will place inside the kitchen.

A has worked very hard to construct an amazing castle. If you look at the front of the castle, you will notice the portcullis and the working drawbridge.

J is testing out his catapult. It is made from a plastic spoon and cardboard. The catapult was used as a weapon to hurl dead animals and other objects over the walls of the castle
