    Administrative Intern Entry Plan

    Goal One: Within two months I will establish and cultivate a positive, constructive relationship anchored in trust andrespect with the members of the Bearfield Primary School community by making a minimum of six teacher contacts

    per week. This will minimize the disruption caused be a change in administrative leadership.

    Objective A: Develop strong, positive, and constructive relationships with Bearfield Primary School staff members.

    Objective B: Develop strong, positive, and constructive relationships with Hertford County Public Schools Central

    Office Personnel.Attend Principal Meetings and Principal PLCs Monthly Attended one

    this school year.This will serve as an avenuefor me as an intern to

    network, stay in the

    administrative loop, andcontinue the learning process.

    Hold regular meetings/ conversations with HCPS Superintendent andAssistant Superintendent to receive feedback and support in alignment

    with the district three focuses and Bearfield Primary School.

    with the school.

    Schedule meetings with faith-based and business partners to developnew plans and programs for the 2013-2014 school year.

    developed.Goal Two: Within three months I will work with the Bearfield Primary School administrative team and staff to meetmonthly to collaboratively develop and implement a strategic plan of action for continuous school improvement. This

    plan will identify BPS strengths and weaknesses and incorporate relevant research, school data, and feedback fromstaff, parents, students, and community stakeholders to promote student growth.

    Objective A: Identify Bearfield Primary School strengths and targeted opportunities for growth in the areas ofcurriculum and instruction and define systems and practices for sustainable and continuous improvement.Review historical performance data for the past 3 years, identifying

    trends for proficiency and growth for the total school and subgroups.

    Aug.-Sept. Ongoing The state of the school will be

    reviewed, questions such as:

    where have we been andwhere are we going will be

    answered.

    Conduct regular learning walks, targeting specific areas regarding

    curriculum and instruction (student engagement, teacher planning,grade level alignment, fidelity to instructional program, use of

    Common Core Curriculum and Essential Standards, and integration oftechnology).

    Objective B: Work in relation with Hertford County Middle School Assistant Principal to develop a roboticsprogram.Meet with Robotics director to discuss the goals of the robotics

    program.

    Sept.15 Completed Students will be introduced to

    hands-on delivery of science,

    engineering, math, andtechnology.

    Meet with Bearfield Primary School Robotics staff team and discuss

    training for staff and students.

    By the beginning

    of October.Students and staff will be

    trained properly and the BPS

    team will be able to competein competitions.
