Romans 6 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Human logicHuman logic takes us to the false ideafalse idea that if grace abounds to forgive sin,

Then sin is good; it revealsit reveals the grace of God.

So many Christian leaders fearfear the concept of grace.

They fear that, if we teachteach the Grace of God

in its fullnessfullness, people will thinkthink

they can sinsin with impunity (without consequences).

A person truly born of the Spirit of God no longerno longer desires to sin.

He is a newnew creation; old things are passed awaypassed away;

All things All things areare become new. become new.2 Corinthians 5:17

How many of you got up this morning hopinghoping for a chance to sin today?

I can tell you with certainty that not one child child of the Living Godof the Living God got up hoping to sin.

God's dear children desire to live liveslive lives that are pleasingpleasing to our Father.

We do so with varyingvarying degrees of success,

But it is our heart's desireheart's desire.

Where onceonce we enjoyed sin, Christians findChristians find the temptation to sin to beto be a burden.

There is no longerno longer life or joy in sin.

Sin brings only guiltguilt and shameshame to a Christian.

3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

In the moment of salvation, we were baptizedbaptized by the Holy SpiritHoly Spirit into Jesus Christ.

We took parttook part in His death, burial, and resurrection.Water baptismWater baptism is simply a testimonytestimony of that which

has alreadyalready taken place in the SpiritSpirit.

We were born ofborn of the Spirit of God into the Family of GodFamily of God.

God is our FatherFather, & Jesus Christ our elder brotherelder brother.

We know that one who lives in sinwho lives in sin is deaddead while he lives.

1 Tim 5:6

But Christians have a new lifenew life in which to walk, freefree from the powerpower of sin over us.

That doesn't mean that it's impossibleimpossible for a Christian to sin.

A Christian can choosechoose to sin.But neither the devildevil nor the sinsin itself has any

powerpower over a Christian.We are born of the Holy SpiritHoly Spirit of God.

He is in usin us and we are in Himin Him.

We who lovelove the Lord with allall our heart, mind, soul, and strength, desiredesire to obey Him.

We know that His Way is GoodHis Way is Good.

God isis our life.

His WayHis Way is the Path of Life.There is no otherno other Path of Blessing.

Proverbs 14 12-13 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirththat mirth is heaviness.

5 For if we have been planted together in the like-ness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection:

When Jesus diedJesus died, we died in Him and were buried with Him.

When He roseHe rose from the dead, we rose in Him.

6 Knowing this, that our old manold man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sinhenceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

There is no pleasure in sin for a dead man.It's over.

When we accept Jesusaccept Jesus into our heart, we take part in His CrucifixionHis Crucifixion.

That old manold man, who so enjoyed sin, is dead.

The new man is born of Godborn of God and hates sinhates sin.

Water baptism is only only significantsignificant for a true believer.

If one has not been baptized bybaptized by the Holy Ghost intointo the body of Jesus Christ,

If he has not died unto sindied unto sin and is not alive unto Godalive unto God,

Then he is notnot being baptized; he is just getting dunkeddunked.

Too many people make a professionprofession of faith,

Go down to an altaraltar and shedshed a few tears,

But they don't repentdon't repent from sin.

They don'tThey don't:

You must be born again; born ofborn of the Spirit of God intointo the family of God.

SalvationSalvation through Jesus Christ will changechange your life.

2 Corinthians 5 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; beholdbehold, all things are become new.

Behold -- you can see the difference.

God has notGod has not told us all of this so that we may judge one anotherjudge one another.

"He's not a Christian or he wouldn't do that."

God has taught us this Truththis Truth so that we may be certainbe certain of our own salvation.

1 John 2 3 And hereby we do knowknow that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments.

Christians only doubtonly doubt our own salvation when we are walking in our own hardheaded wayown hardheaded way.

An obedientobedient child of God is a confidentconfident child.
