5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision (Jews) for the Truth of God, to confirm the Promises made unto the fathers: 9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to Thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto Thy Name.

Jesus was born a Jew that He might serve the Jews as their Messiah.

John 1 11 He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. 12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:

Jesus is "a minister for the Truth of God."V8

John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of Grace and Truth.

But Jesus did not come onlyonly for the Jews:

9 And that the Gentiles might glorify GodGentiles might glorify God for His Mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to Thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto Thy Name.

God had made the Gentiles no Promisesno Promises, as He had the Patriarchs of IsraelPatriarchs of Israel;

But, He extended His mercyHis mercy to the whole world.

10 And again he saith, RejoiceRejoice, ye Gentiles, with His people. 11 And again, Praise the LordPraise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud laud (applaud)(applaud) Him Him, all ye people. 12 And again, Esaias (Isaiah) saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trusttrust.

We were always in God's heartGod's heart and in His PlanHis Plan.

Moses, David, and Isaiah all wroteall wrote of the salvationsalvation of the GentilesGentiles in the Old Testament.

13 Now the God of HopeGod of Hope fill you with all joyjoy and peacepeace in believing, that ye may abound in hopeabound in hope, through the PowerPower of the Holy Ghost.

Humanity without God has no hope;

We are hopeless; hell is our future.

But God is the SourceSource of all Hope.

And with hope comes joyjoy and peacepeace.

If you ain't happy, you ain't doing it right.

"Draw nigh to God, and He Will draw nigh to you."

If you are livingliving in sin, cleansecleanse your hands.

If you are of a divided minddivided mind, focusfocus single-mindedly on our Heavenly Father --

His WillHis Will and His WayHis Way. James 4:8

God's desire for all His children is that we be happyhappy, hopefulhopeful, and filled with inner peaceinner peace.

When we are, harmonyharmony in the church will follow.

God is not glorified by fighting and fussing among His children.

14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodnessfull of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Goodness is produced in us by the Holy SpiritHoly Spirit.

It's notnot a natural human trait; peoplepeople are mean.

But as we submitas we submit to the Holy Spirit, God's

Goodness is produced in usGoodness is produced in us.

AgainAgain: 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledgeknowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Knowledge comes as we prayerfullyprayerfully studystudy the Word of God, seeking

understanding from the Holy GhostHoly Ghost.

To admonish is to caution or reprove gently.

It is softersofter than a rebuke; it is speakingspeaking Truth in LoveTruth in Love.

15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in putting you in mindmind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

Even though Paul was persuaded that the Roman Roman ChristiansChristians were filled with God's GoodnessGod's Goodness, and

with knowledgeknowledge of the Word of God,

He was compelled to remind themremind them of some basics.

We need to be constantly remindedconstantly reminded of the Truths of ScriptureTruths of Scripture.

God's Way is the Blessed God's Way is the Blessed WayWay..

16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the Gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

What made these ChristiansChristians at Rome, indeed all Christians, acceptable unto Godacceptable unto God?

The sanctificationsanctification of the Holy Ghost.

No apostle, preacher, teacher, deacon, nor any man can make people acceptablepeople acceptable unto God.

It must be the work of God's Holy SpiritHoly Spirit through Jesus Christ.through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any other (Jesus Christ): for there is none other Name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 14 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Jesus is the OnlyOnly Way to God and to salvation.

To be saved from the bondagebondage of sin and from the tormentstorments of a burning hell,

Each person must place his faithplace his faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Believe in the God of the BibleGod of the Bible and no other.

Believe in His Son, Jesus ChristJesus Christ, Who came to earth to be bornborn of a virgin, and to

live as a manman, yet without sinwithout sin,

And then to diedie on a Roman cross, shedding His BloodBlood for the remission of sins.

He must askask God in the Name of Jesus to save him.

God will save every oneevery one who asks, believing.

God's Holy Spirit will baptize himbaptize him into the body of Christ, which is the universal churchuniversal church.

He will be a child of God Almightychild of God Almighty, a member of the family of God.
