When people try to serve God in our own own righteousnessrighteousness, we always set up false false

standardsstandards.

We set the bar to a level we can achieve in the flesh.

But the Righteousness of GodRighteousness of God can nevernever be achieved in the flesh.

His Righteousness must be counted counted unto usunto us, through Jesus Christ.

That is, Christ has fulfilled the whole Law, therefore whoever believeth in Him, is counted counted justjust before God, as much as though he had as much as though he had fulfilled the whole law himselffulfilled the whole law himself.

God is love, joy, peace, patience; He is gentle and good; He is faithful, meek, and self-controlled.

Proverbs 19 (NIV) 2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.

Zeal without knowledge will cause us to act act rashlyrashly and miss the mind of God.

We may do more harmharm than good, perhaps woundingwounding some of God's children,

Or driving a lost sinner awayaway from salvation.

When anyone tries to be righteousbe righteous in our ownown strength and wisdom, we make a messmess.

We try to dotry to do the right thing, but stumble around, woundingwounding instead of healing;

Driving awayDriving away instead of drawing near.

He truly thought he was serving God, but was instead, fighting againstfighting against God, and

God's Plan and Purpose.
