LESSON: ACT 2:14-21 SIT
Léctio Actuum Apostolórum Lesson from the Acts of Apostles
fumi. Sol convertétur in ténebras et luna in
sánguinem, antequam véniat dies Dómini
magnus et maniféstus. Et erit: omnis,
quicúmque invocáverit nomen Dómini, salvus
erit. Allelúia.
In those days, Peter, standing up with the Eleven,
lifted up his voice and spoke out to them: Men of
Judea and all you who dwell in Jerusalem, let this
be known to you, and give ear to my words. These
men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the
third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken
through the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass
in the last days, says the Lord, that I will pour forth
of My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, and your young men
shall see visions, and your old men shall dream
dreams. And moreover upon My servants and upon
My handmaids in those days will I pour forth of
My Spirit, and they shall prophesy. And I will show
wonders in the heavens above and signs on the
earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the
moon into blood, before the day of the Lord comes,
the great and manifest day. And it shall come to
pass that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.’
R. Deo gratias. R. Thanks be to God.

LESSON: ACT 5:12-16 SIT
Léctio Actuum Apostolórum Lesson from the Acts of Apostles
In diébus illis: Per manus autem Apostolórum
fiébant signa et prodígia multa in plebe. Et
erant unanímiter omnes in pórticu Salomónis.
Ceterórum autem nemo audébat se coniúngere
illis: sed magnificábat eos pópulus. Magis
autem augebátur credéntium in Dómino
multitúdo virórum ac mulíerum, ita ut in
pláteas eiícerent infírmos, et pónerent in
léctulis ac grabátis, ut, veniénte Petro, saltem
umbra illíus obumbráret quemquam illórum, et
liberaréntur ab infirmitátibus suis.
Concurrébat autem et multitúdo vicinárum
civitátum Ierúsalem, afferéntes ægros et
vexátos a spirítibus immúndis: qui curabántur
omnes.
In those days, by the hands of the Apostles many
signs and wonders were done among the people.
And with one accord they all would meet in
Solomon’s portico; but of the rest, no one dared
to associate with them, yet the people made
much of them. And the multitude of men and
women who believed in the Lord increased still
more, so that they carried the sick into the streets
and laid them on beds and pallets that, when
Peter passed, his shadow at least might fall on
some of them. And there came also multitudes
from the towns near Jerusalem, bringing the sick
and those troubled with unclean spirits, and they
were all cured.
R. Deo gratias. R. Thanks be to God.

Holy Spirit! Lord of light!
From Thy clear celestial height,
Thy pure, beaming radiance give:
Come, Thou, Father of the poor!
Come, with treasures which endure!
Come, Thou light of all that live!
Thou of all consolers best,
Visiting the troubled breast,
Dost refreshing peace bestow:
Thou in toil art comfort sweet;
Pleasant coolness in the heat;
Solace in the midst of woe.

Light immortal! Light divine!
Visit Thou these hearts of Thine,
And our inmost being fill.
If Thou take Thy grace away,
Nothing pure in man will stay;
All his good is turn’d to ill.
Heal our wounds - our strength renew;
On our dryness pour Thy dew;
Wash the stains of guilt away:
Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.
Thou, on those who evermore
Thee confess and Thee adore,
In Thy sevenfold gifts descend.
Give them comfort when they die;
Give them life with Thee on high;
Give them joys which never end.

In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus turbis Iudæórum:

At that time, Jesus said to the Jews: No one can
come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draw
him, and I will raise him up on the last day. It is
written in the Prophets, "And they all shall be
taught of God." Everyone who has listened to the
Father, and has learned, comes to Me; not that
anyone has seen the Father except Him Who is
from God, He has seen the Father. Amen, amen, I

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker
of heaven and earth, and of all things, visible and

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten
Son of God. And born of the Father, before all
ages. God of God: Light of Light: true God of
true God. Begotten, not made, consubstantial
with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us men, and for our salvation, came
down from heaven. And became incarnate by the
Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary: and was made
man. He was crucified also for us, suffered under
Pontius Pilate, and was buried. And the third day
He rose again according to the Scriptures. And
ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right
hand of the Father. And He shall come again
with glory to judge both the living and the dead,
of whose kingdom there shall be no end.
And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of
Life, proceeding from the Father and the Son.
Who together, with the Father and the Son, is
adored and glorified: Who spoke by the
prophets. And in one, holy, Catholic and

remission of sins. And I look for the resurrection
