Roman bridge of Canosa di Puglia The Roman bridge is located on the route of the

Via Traiana. It has allowed for many centuries the link between Canosa and the Daunia.

It is far three kilometers from the city center and presents a humpback structure, resting on a work made with oak wood covered with concrete. It is divided into five round arches, supported by huge pillars terminating in a cusp.

Roman bridge of Sant’Agata di Puglia Built of brick and stone, it is about 211 meters

long and 11 high. Probably it was erected with other bridges,

almost all collapsed or severely damaged when the important road Aurelia Accianensis was built. It connected Aeclanum to Herdonia.

Roman bridge of Ascoli Satriano The beautiful Roman stone bridge presents

three humpback arches and crosses the creek Carapelle.

The Emperor Trajan built it in the early years of the second century AD, restructuring the road that linked Rome to the East. It is a rare example of hydraulic and road engineering.
