Our ambition at Worthington Creyssensac is to offer compressed air solutions thatensure we are first in choice for our customers. To reach this goal calls for continuous investment in our product development to ensure that we are always able to offer the most suitable solutions at peak levels of efficiency.Integration of the AIRLOGIC® controller revolutionises the operation of the ROLLAIR® 150-220 range with added control features and enhanced energy efficiency.

ROBUSTNESS& RELIABILITY

PRECISION MECHANICS

1 Air is drawn through a high efficiency filter into thecompression element.

2 The air entering the compression element is regulated by the inlet valve.

3 Oil in the compression element performs three vitals roles:cooling, lubrication and a seal between the rotor profiles.Ensuring peak performance with no loss in efficiencythroughout the life of the compression element.

4 The three stage air/oil separation system is designed toprovide a low residual oil content in the air below 3 ppm.The oil in the separator vessel, is separated by cyclonicaction, weight, and finally filtrated through a cartridgedesigned with a large filtration surface to ensure high air quality.

5 Residual oil inside the separator element is removed bythe oil scavenge line and re injected into the rotary screwelement, reducing oil carryover into the compressed air network.

6 The cooling air inlet is regulated by EC turbines, coupledwith the large oil cooler, maintains a constant runningtemperature at all times.

7 Oil is filtered to remove contamination before being re injected into the air-end.

8 In maximum ambient conditions, the air cooler reducesthe temperature of the compressed air to a maximum of10°C above ambient temperature.

MODERN DESIGNFOR EFFICIENCY

By utilising over 30 years of design, manufacturing andcustomer experience it has been possible to produce aproduct to operate in heavy duty industrial applications. The ROLLAIR® 150-220 has an optimum cooling balance to reduce stress on internal components which increasesoperating reliability and reduces maintenance downtimeand costs.

The motor and compressor air intake are mounted behindbehind the air inlet and EC turbines in a cool zone.

This improves compression efficiency and reduces powerconsumption in the motor.

All Worthington Creyssensac machines are designed usingthe latest advanced Computer Aided Design software toensure high quality products at all times.Final assembly takes place in a modern factory with stateof the art assembly methods. At the end of each assembly line, the compressors’efficiency is measured in a test cell to ensure each machinecomplies with our design criteria and exacting standards.

To express confidence in our technology,we offer you the option of a 5-yearwarranty extension when the equipment ismaintained in accordance with our AIRPlusmaintenance contract – get moreinformation from your local dealer.

9 90 % of all water can be removed by an optionalcyclonic separator and drained by an electronic drain valvecontrolled by the AIRLOGIC®. This protects down-streamequipment from water contamination, increasing thereliability of pneumatic equipment and reducing productcontamination.

The water cooled machines and energyrecovery options have been designed withplated heat exchangers accurately sizedaccording to water temperaturespecifications.

The Air/Oil separator and oil filters are mounted in a warm zonewithin the compressor package, which prevents condensation forming in the oil circuit. This designfeature extends component and filter life for improved performanceand reliability.

The air inlet and outlet flow has been designed in order that thecompressors can be installed with or without ductwork, increasingthe number of installation possibilities and keeping installation costto a minimum.

QUALITY FILTRATION

The air inlet filter of a compressor may be simple, but itsquality and durability are essential for efficient performance. The 2-micron pleated filter fitted to all WorthingtonCreyssensac compressors are designed to give maximumprotection for the air/oil circuit while maintaining sufficientsurface area for unobstructed airflow.

The encapsulated air filter offers several benefits with a precyclonic action to capture large dust particles, before the airpasses through the high filtration media.Air is drawn into the filter located in a cool zone within thecompressor to ensure maximum compression and coolingefficiency.

In the event of clogging, a safety device ensures that thecompressor is stopped and any mechanical damageprevented.

HIGH EFFICIENCYCOMPRESSION

The oil flooded asymmetrical screw type element used in ourcompressors has proven its reliability in many and variedinstallations and is produced within stringent tolerances.

Utilisation of the IP 55, EFF1 motor ensures high energy efficiencyin line with our environmental responsibilities. The drive assemblybetween electric motor and air end further enhances efficiency and reliability compared to belt driven systems.

SUPERIOR DRIVEEFFICIENCY

Gears combined with the SUREFLEX® coupling provide superiordrive efficiency compared to belt drive systems. The gears used onthe ROLLAIR® compressors require no maintenance and no periodicchange.

A bell housing is fitted to guarantee perfect alignment between themotor and the air-end element: this combined with the SUREFLEX®

coupling reduces vibrations and extends the life of the compressionelement.

ACCURATE PRESSUREMANAGEMENT

The pressure regulation is controlled at the outlet of the compressorpackage, ensuring the outlet pressure is in line with the workingpressure required.

The highly accurate pressure transducer combined with theAIRLOGIC® precise pressure band controlallows the compressorto work within a minimum pressure band resulting in significantenergy savings.

SAFE AND SOLID AIR& OIL CONNECTIONS

FLEXMASTER® and VICTAULIC® pipe couplings are speciallydesigned to combine all the benefits of both rigid andflexible pipes.

Solid metal pipes have all the advantages of increaseddurability for reduced maintenance costs, and the elasticpipe couplings allows expansion and contraction resultingin fewer air and oil leaks for increased reliability.

REGULATED VENTILATIONFOR ENERGY SAVINGSAND EFFICIENCY

The cooling efficiency of a compressor is of vital importance to ensurelong term reliability and operating efficiency. The ROLLAIR® 150-220compressors have been specially designed with one or two EC turbines(with Electronic Commutation motor) for efficient control of thecompressor cooling; rotational speed of the turbine is controlled off theoil temperature, resulting in many benefits :• Low Noise level and specific energy requirements, compared to units

designed with a traditional fan or turbine.• Increased lifetime of the EC turbine due to low stress on the bearings.• Oil flow simplification, as the thermostatic valve is removed: oil

temperature has increased stability, thus avoiding any risk of thermalshock in the coolers during regulation.

• Optimised maintenance costs.

LARGE COOLING CAPACITY

High efficiency aluminium type cooler blocks are designed with alarge surface area reducing the air and oil fluid temperature to theminimum for maximum cooling efficiency.

Easy access for cleaning the coolers is possible thanks to the accesspanels located on each side of the cooler housing.

LOW MAINTENANCE ANDMAXIMUM ACCESSIBILITY

Large access panels with removable supports ensure quick andeasy access to all internal components for preventive maintenanceand easy cleaning.

The air/oil separator housing is designed to allow quick and easyaccess to the separator cartridge, reducing downtime to a minimum.

The ROLLAIR® 150-220 compressors are equipped with a follow upmaintenance system which calculates the remaining running hoursto the next scheduled service. This can be accessed via theAIRLOGIC® menu.

This system of maintenance management allows greater flexibiltywhen scheduling service intervals and avoiding downtime at crucialperiods.
