- Our nurses and midwife provide respectful, professional, client-centered maternal and reproductive health services to women who wouldn’t always be able to access them
THE ISSUE
- Birthing complications. 15 women die every day in the Philippines due to preventable pregnancy and childbirth complications
- Teenage pregnancies. 18% of pregnancies in Puerto Princesa City are to teenagers
- Unplanned pregnancies. More than half of Philippines pregnancies are unplanned

Health Education +Healthy Pregnancies
We provide vitamins, check-ups and delivery services to help ensure that our clients have the healthiest pregnancies possible.
Health Advocates
We train women in our communities to be health resources to their neighbors. These women become our link when our educational programming in a site comes to an end.
Family Planning
After providing information and counseling to our clients, many choose to use a form of family planning. We help them choose the method that best suits them.
High School and College
We conduct education sessions for students at local high schools and universities. The students learn about health and human rights issues through lectures, group work and activities.
Community Women
We form and run community based women's groups in which participants are encouraged to understand their health needs in relation to sexuality, reproduction, and family life.
Community Teenagers
We run community teen education classes that are skills based and empower young people to make healthy, responsible decisions.
