2006 Benefiting Organizations

Rockin’ Christmas Fund an endowed fund of the SW Florida Community Foundation awards college scholarshipsannually to needy deserving students who apply based on an outreach that is done each year. Rockin’ Christmas Fundalso works each year with different charities to help them in various ways. This year the theme is for the LOVE of Kidsand Music. Many of the young people attending the show today have gotten here as a result of funding provide by theRockin’ Christmas Fund and its sponsors. Rockin’ Christmas Fund a non-profit was started by PrivateSky® AviationServices, Inc. and co-founded by Vincent & Illona Wolanin and Dr. John and Liz Kagan. The creative idea was bornwhen PrivateSky® Aviation Services, Inc. was finishing its big yellow building at SW Florida International Airport andcompany founder Vincent Wolanin and his staff met contemplating a Christmas Party. Out popped the idea and concept of why don’t we do something to help people instead of just run a me too type Holiday bash. Vincent’s background in music led to the Rockin’ Christmas Parties I, II, III, IV which were held in the big hangar at PrivateSky®

Aviation Services, Inc. and featured an All-Star Band. Over the years members of famous bands, their lead singers,recording artists, comedians and film stars have all been in the Rockin’ Christmas Band or served as performers andthis year again is no exception. The event has outgrown the hangar and is now focused on being a family style Holidayaffair that is affordable for as many people as possible. Rockin’ Christmas Fund is pleased you came tonight to seeour 300 performers entertain you with Holiday music and the spirit of the season.

Whitney Wolanin is a multi octave vocalist-songwriter that since the age of twohas been singing every day of her life. As a professional recording artist since 12years old on TopNotch® Records Whitney has had 4 Hit songs chart at radioincluding her current release at radio ‘Frosty the Snowman’ which is at #28 thisweek. Other Hits ‘GOOD’ #7 (47 weeks on chart), ‘It Takes Two’ her duet withSurvivor singing legend Jimi Jamison #9, and another original holiday song‘Christmas’ (the Warmest Time of the Year) #87 in 2005.
