What you’ll need…

• Your computer or laptop with Internet access.• A valid email address• Your Free Public Library of Monroe Township

library card, valid and up-to-date (no fees or blocks).

Select “Databases” on the menu bar.

On the database page, select “Hobbies” in the menu to the right…

In the “Hobbies” section, select “Rocket Languages” from the choices listed.

The welcome screen will follow. If this is your first time accessing Rocket Languages fill out the new user section…

After you have filled in every field of this section…

Click the small box next to the user agreement.

Then click the register button underneath it.

Great news! You only have to fill that information in once. The next time you log in, just enter your email address and the

password you created in the box below and proceed to your lesson.

Enter your first and last name in the labeled fields of the resulting page. Then click “Get started!”

Choose a language to learn from the choices pictured on the welcome screen.

The resulting page is your “Dashboard.” The dashboard is an overview of all the lessons you will complete to learn your

chosen language.

Your lessons are located in the “My Study Plan” section of the dashboard.

Click on the title of the lesson to access it.

There are few features on the lesson page that we should point out:

Every lesson page has an outline, or explanation, of what will be learned in this section.

You access the actual lesson by clicking the “play” button on the “Interactive Audio” player.

You can download a pdf version of every lesson and save it to your computer.

You can also download the audio file and save it to your computer.

In addition to the lesson tab, there is a testing tab.

Rocket Languages tests you in a few different ways: Hear it, Say it! and Writing. In order to use the Hear it, Say it! section your computer MUST have

a functioning microphone.

Rocket languages then rates your performance and gives you suggestions for improvement.

To pick a different language to learn, click the Rocket Languages logo at the top left hand corner of the screen.

When you’re finished, log out by clicking the “Log Out” option in the upper right hand corner.
