Features Rock Sound like many conventional double page

spreads use a pull out quote to show the reader what the article contains and what they should be expecting from the article. This makes the reader intrigued into what else is said in the article for that response. Rock Sound also start their bulk text with a drop cap of 7 lines. They start the article off with a quote to entice the readers of what more the article would contain. In small font there is an editorial for the writer and photographer of the article giving them credit for their work.

Headline And Stand First The headline of the double page spread for ‘Bullet

for my valentine’ is spread across both pages. This is quite conventional for Rock Sound as they present most of their double page spreads this was as it emphasises the importance of the artist(s). Rock Sound also use quite a long stand first however have the artists name in a different colour to the rest of the text. This makes the artists themselves stand out and show how important they are. The stand first shows us about the article and what the bulk text will be about, giving us a look into the article without reading it,

Layout Rock Sound use a dark colour scheme for

this particular double page spread which is not usually like their brand identity. Although Rock Sound do tend to layout their double page spreads the same. They stick to convention and use the column method to layout their content. This gives a tidy and neat way to present their information which is what their readers are use to as this is a common way they lay out their information.
