About Robson Square

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Robson Square is a provincial landmark and the Province’s largest building with 1.2 million square feet extending over three city blocks. The internationally recognized facility was designed by renowned architect Arthur Erickson and built between 1979 and 1983. Housed within this property are the Provincial law courts to the South, the Vancouver Art Gallery to the North, and in the centre, the University of British Columbia’s (UBC’s) downtown campus and Vancouver’s only outdoor ice rink. Robson Square is frequented by tourists, students, shoppers, office workers, and residents.

Robson Square B.C. Hosting Space The B.C. Hosting Space is situated at the South East corner of the Robson Square Plaza level (one level below street surface).

This Olympics legacy space measures approximately 120ft wide (East/West) by 25ft deep (North/South) in total. The internal space consists of three areas:

There is a carpeted section on the left to the entrance that measures approximately 22ft by 16ft. A small kitchen with a double sink, full size fridge, dishwasher and microwave is located behind.

The middle section is directly in front of the entrance and is approximately 26ft wide by 24ft deep. It includes a hardwood floor (26ft by 16ft).

There is separate carpeted area on the right side of the entrance which measures approximately 36ft wide by 16ft deep. The washrooms are hidden behind a divider wall and the far end.

Maximum Occupancy in Hosting Room - 90 people The room includes: 50 chairs, 6 arm chairs, 1 sofa, 8 tables and 3 coat racks.

Corporate/Community* $1,500.00

Not-for-Profit* $500.00

Birthday Party** Maximum 2 hours

Small party (1–15 guests) $225.00

Large party (16-25 guests) $275.00

For larger parties, please contact us for more information.

Note: *Janitorial Services are extra for corporate/community and Not-for-profit events: $25.00/hr plus 10% supplies (minimum 4 hours). Catering can be brought in. Special Events Liquor License must be obtain in order to serve alcohol. All alcohol must stay within the BC Hosting Space. **Birthday parties include renting of Hosting Room, skates, hot chocolate and janitorial services.
