• SERRA is a family-owned company with more than 35 years of experience in the design and

manufacturing of machinery for the corrugated board industry. SERRA sells both to other machinery

makers in the sector (OEM’s) and to cardboard manufacturing companies (end customers).

• SERRA main strengths are Innovation, Reliability and Efficient Production.

• Innovation has characterized the company since the beginning, creating new designs every year to

adapt developments to market’s needs using the latest technologies. From the first unit (including the

prototype) all machines have been sold and installed into production. Reliability is shown by achieving

long-lasting production with all our machines, which keep working nowadays. In the last years SERRA has

produced serial machines using lean manufacturing techniques, making production efficient and

delivering high quality machines.

• Serra has a large experience acquired over many years as equipment manufacturer for the corrugated

board industry. Also, in the last years, SERRA has become a leader supplier of peripherals for single-pass

digital printing. Those two product lines are the main ones in SERRA’s catalogue.

• Besides, thanks to the Engineering spirit of the company, SERRA has been delivering upgrades for old

machines or custom-made special machines for corrugated printing sector.

Why a Robot Pre-feeder?Single-pass digital printing line

• Digital printers print from the top side.

• Depending on logistic flow (and 1 or 2-sided printing), boards may need to be flipped over before printing.

• Feeding single-pass digital printing lines in manual mode requires two operators to ensure continuous flow.

• Robot Pre-feeder enables fully automatic operation at high speed ensuring product quality & operator safety.

• Robot Pre-feeder increases productivity of the digital printing line.

• Dimensions: 40’ print direction length x 16’ width (12m x 5m) (may vary according to configuration)

• Maximum sheet size: 118” print direction length x 70” width (3000mm x 1800mm)

• Minimum sheet size: 23” x 23” (600mm x 600mm)

• Simple or double sheet feeding line configuration

• Optional stack flip for every job

• Shingling for smooth piling up on the feeder

• Many different configurations possible to adapt to plant logistic systems and space restrictions
