NOTE: This project involved a review of current end-of-life care curriculum (or its lack) at selected institutions across the country. Institutional PIs participated in workshops to develop a core curriculum at their institution for teaching residents end-of-life care. After implementing the curriculum at their institution, the PIs participated in a followup conference to evaluate the effectiveness of the various programs and learn additional improvements to implement at their respective institutions. Grant money was provided only to the coordinating institution, the Medical College of Wisconsin, to organize the workshop and followup; individual institutions provided the funds to implement the residency curriculum at their sites.
