SMART Boards coming to Robert Hunter School!!

Dear Robert Hunter Families,

The PTO Board is very pleased to announce Robert Hunter PTO is purchasing

22 SMART Boards for installation in Grades K - 4 classrooms this spring! The

total investment cost is $31,900. This investment is possible thanks to our

parents, teachers and administrators working closely together to coordinate

fundraisers, assemblies and grade level activities. Also, we thank all Robert Hunter Families for participating in our fundraisers and events throughout the

school year in support of large investments into the school.

With the two previously purchased SMART boards this year, the PTO will have

placed 24 boards throughout Robert Hunter School by June. The PTO has

received many thanks from the teachers and administrators within the school,

as the SMART board investment opens Robert Hunter School to the larger

SMART board community, a vast resource available for the enhancement of

educational opportunities to all students.

For the next school year, the PTO will continue to investment in additional

SMART boards for additional classrooms in the school! While the annual

Basket Auction provides a large portion of the investment dollars to the PTO

for this type investment, all fundraising efforts through the school year support

the larger goals for the association. We kindly request your continued support

to PTO activities and fundraisers as the PTO is continually striving to invest

into the school to add to the value of the education our students receive by

attending Robert Hunter School!

We should all be very proud of this great investment and accomplishment

for the benefit of the students at Robert Hunter School!

The PTO Annual Basket Auction and Winterfest was held on January 30th! Through this largest

annual fundraiser, the PTO exceeded the goal set for the event in support of the SMART Board technol-

ogy purchase for the school! The time and dedication of the Basket Auction Committee to put this

event together is incredible and the PTO thanks all members and volunteers for working on this event!

Robert Hunter Family Olympics held Feb. 20th

Thank you to Mrs. Cinquemani and the Robert Hunter Teachers and Staff for hosting the annual

Family Olympics Night at Robert Hunter School! The cold weather did not stop over 60 Robert

Hunter families from participating in the games at Olympic Night! Congratulations to the winning families!

Spring Scholastic Book Fair, March 9 - 12

The PTO will hold the Spring Scholastic Book Fair from

March 9 - 12 in the school library! The theme for this book fair is

“Under the Seas, Explore an Ocean of Books!” If you are in-

terested in volunteering for the book fair, please contact

Rosa Flood, event Co-Chair, at rmc827@live.com. Thank you.

Family Book Fair Night will be held on Wednesday, March 11,

from 5:30 - 8:00 PM! Come visit the book fair with your children.

Mrs. Judson, school nurse, will be hosting a “Brown Bag Make-

over” demonstration during the Family Book Fair Night. Also, RH

Teachers will be in the library reading some of their favorite

children’s books! We hope to see many RH Families for Family

Book Fair Night!

Spring Enrichment Registration Now Open

Spring After School Enrichment Classes are now open for registration. The PTO and RH Teachers

are offering a number of exciting classes for RH students to participate in. The Flyer and Registration

forms are available on RH Virtual Backpack. The PTO is offering the following classes:

Computer Programming, Grades 1 - 4, Starts Monday, March 23

Gymnastics, Grades 2 - 4, Starts Tuesday, March 3

Smart Chefs, Grades 3 - 4, Starts Tuesday, April 7

Bricks 4 Kidz, Grades 1 - 4, Starts Wednesday, March 18

The PTO encourages students to be registered early for these programs as enrollment space is

2014 - 2015 School Yearbooks on Sale Now! The PTO Yearbook Committee is taking orders for the 2014 - 2015 yearbook.

Online orders can be placed at schoolannual.com (search for Robert Hunter

School) through February 27. The PTO will also accept orders on the tradi-

tional order flyer through March (flyer available on Virtual Backpack). Place

your order now, as the sale closes April 1. Yearbooks are $20.00 per book.

Art Goes to School, February 18 - 27

Thanks to Paula Benke and all PTO volunteers for participating in Arts Goes to School at Robert

Hunter School! This program introduces a variety of works of art to our students creating a conver-

sation around the artwork! The PTO thanks Paula and all volunteers for their time to join the class-

rooms to deliver this program across the school!

Wind Symphony and Hunterdon Harmonizers Concert

Coming to Robert Hunter School

Tuesday, March 24th, 6:30 - 8:00 PM The PTO will host The Whitehouse Wind Symphony and The Hunterdon Harmonizers for an

exciting Concert Event at Robert Hunter School on Tuesday, March 24th starting at 6:30 PM!

We encourage all RH Families to attend this free concert to be held in the school cafeteria. The

PTO will have a concession stand for you to enjoy snacks and desserts during the concert! Thank

you to Jodi Weitz and Tracey Hunter for arranging these groups to come to perform at RH School!

Family Movie Night, Friday,

April 10th, 7:00 PM The PTO will host a Movie Night featuring

Penguins of Madagascar

on April 10th at 7:00 PM.

The PTO will serve popcorn and water!

This is a free event for RH Families!

Spring School Pictures

Monday, April 20th The PTO is pleased to announce we will hold

Spring Pictures on Monday, April 20th! All

students in the school will be photographed, as our

new school photography company, LifeTouch, will be

providing each student with a Smile Safe Card with

no obligation to purchase any other pictures. The

Smile Safe cards are free to all students. The Smile

Safe cards will be enclosed in a picture package for

each family to consider. Unwanted pictures can be

simply returned to the school. The PTO Board

believes our families will like the new product offer-

ings from LifeTouch! Please note, there is no

make up day for Spring Pictures so we encourage all students to attend school on April 20 to join in

this event! Information on LifeTouch will be distrib-

uted to all families in April! If you have any

his performing pets. These 15 house cats, 10 dogs, 4 geese, 8 white doves, and

2 parrots - that love to show off on stage - perform a variety of stunts and skits!

You’ll be charmed by this extravaganza of European-style clowning, amazing

juggling and balancing acts, and of course, very talented performing pets.
