Liebler. Jazz bassist Marion Hayden, The Magic Poetry Band, and students from the InsideOut Literary Arts Project are also featured. ACADEMY OF SCHOLARS The poetry of two of Wayne State University’s most famous alumni brought attention to the city of Detroit and the accomplishments of African American culture and history. For National Poetry Month, a stellar list of poets and scholars convene to celebrate the impact of these two internationally renowned writers. Free and open to the public.
