BEGINNING OF CAREERZombie studied for a time at the Parsons School of

Design. There he met Sean Yseult and the two quickly became a couple. Together they formed White Zombie, taking their name from a 1932

horror film starring Bela Lugosi. Before launching his music career, Zombie took on a number of offbeat jobs. He served as an art director for a

pornographic magazine and a production assistant on the children's television show Pee-

Wee's Playhouse starring Paul Reubens.

Alternating between film and music, Zombie released the well-received Educated

Horses album in 2005. Two years later, he revived a horror classic. Zombie offered movie-goers his own take on the John

Carpenter Halloween series, which he wrote and directed. The movie earned

approximately $26 million in its opening weekend, his biggest hit to date. His

sequel, Halloween II (2009), did not fare as well with audiences or critics.

In 2006, it was announced that Zombie had signed on to write and direct a remake of the 1978 horror film classic Halloween. After the announcement, Zombie posted on his official MySpace page, stating

"...what I am doing is starting totally from scratch. This is the new HALLOWEEN. Call it a remake, an update, a reimaging or whatever, but

one thing that for sure is this is a whole new start... a new beginning with no connection to the other series. That is exactly why the project

appeals to me. I can take it and run with it."Zombie later referred to the film as a "re-imagining" of the original John Carpenter film.

He also has he’s own website which includes the latest news, pictures about him.
