Each tent has a private viewing deck and plunge pool, private lounge area, air-conditioning and fans, bath, inside and outside shower, mini bar and tea/coffee stations, 220V main electricity, and mosquito nets. About Victoria Falls - The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" -- the smoke that thunders and the Falls are remarkable. There is a magic about them manifested in the towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling water, the terrifying abyss and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles lurk. The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic metres of water plummet over the edge every minute. Remarkably preserved in its natural state, Victoria falls inspires visitors as much today as it did David Livingstone in the 1860's. The falls and the surrounding area have been declared National Parks and a World Heritage Site, thus preserving the area from excessive commercialization.

About Hwange National Park - Situated on the eastern edge of the Kalahari Desert, Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's premier wildlife area and the dry home to one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa. Its ecological diversity guarantees large numbers of game year-round along with excellent birding. The park hosts 105 different animal species. We'll see Massive herds of elephant, buffalo and sable antelope, white and black rhino, high concentrations of predator species including lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena, a large population of African wild dog and over 400 bird species. We'll enjoy daily game drives, walking safaris and cultural village visits. All Zimbabwe's specially protected animals are to be found in Hwange and it is the only protected area where gemsbok and brown hyena occur in reasonable numbers. The population of African wild dogs to be found in Hwange is thought to be of one of the largest surviving groups in Africa today. Elephants have been enormously successful in Hwange and the population has increased to far above that naturally supported by such an area.

DAY #9 & DAY #10 - MANA POOLS -- 2 full days on safari! There will be morning and evening game (wildlife) drives, water game viewing excursions, bush walks and much more!!

About Mana Pools - Mana Pools is a wildlife conservation area in northern Zimbabwe constituting a National Park. It is a region of the lower Zambezi River in Zimbabwe where the flood plain turns into a broad expanse of lakes after each rainy season. As the lakes gradually dry up and recede, the region attracts many large animals in search of water, making it one of Africa's most renowned game-viewing regions.

Mana means 'four' in Shona, in reference to the four large permanent pools formed by the meanderings of the middle Zambezi. These 2,500 square kilometers of river frontage, islands,

sandbanks and pools, flanked by forests of mahogany, wild figs, ebonies and baobabs, is one of the least developed National Parks in Southern Africa. The park is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has the country's biggest concentration of hippos and crocodiles, and large dry season mammal populations of elephant and buffalo. Other popular mammals include the zebra and eland. The remote and beautiful Mana Pools National Park also offers a mosaic of amazing habitats with some rare bird species. Over 380 bird species have been recorded here.
