Temporary Roads Temporary Roads are used to provide access for both rubber tyred and tracked vehicles to areas with difficult ground conditions. They are also used to reduce axle weight pressures and reduce the risk of damage where access is required over underground services.

2 • Ekki Mats/Pipeline Mats // Suitable for rubber tyred vehicles and should be laid to form a single track of either three or five metre width. As a guide only, these mats may be used to support evenly distributed weights of up to 21 tonnes for 3 metres and 35 tonnes for 5 metres depending on ground conditions on site. The client must be satisfied as to the suitability of the mats for the application intended. Due to their density, Ekki Mats/Pipeline Mats do not float and are therefore suitable if required for use in a tidal situation.

5 • Sleepers // All sleepers are of sound quality for various uses within the construction industry. They are creosoted and must be handled with gloves. Standard railway sleepers are approx 2500/2600mm x 225/250mm x 125/150mm. For customers wishing to purchase, we can supply either used pine softwood, which has been creosoted, or new hardwood sleepers (subject to availability). We also offer a cutting service if required.

Safety Tip: The use of gloves to handle creosoted sleepers is essential to avoid skin contact.

Marro Pave has been designed to support healthy grass growth providing a minimum of 3.2cm of available height to allow the grass suffi cient height in which to grow. 2 • Road Crossing Plates // Flat steel plates supplied complete with lifting eyes cut into two corners. The Plates may be required to bridge excavations, in which case the size and thickness of the plates to be used will depend on the width of excavation to be spanned and the type of traffic expected to use them. Various sizes available.

3 • Non-Slip Road Crossing Plates // Flat steel plates supplied with non- slip surface and bauxite chippings covering. Their installation must not present a hazard to cyclists or motorcyclists. The use of plate lifting clamps and a chain set are recommended to ensure the safe and speedy positioning of the plates.

5 • Concrete Security Barriers (Sale Only) // Ideal for use as temporary road blocks, channelling traffic and earth retention. Constructed with pre-cast grooves on the bottom of the structure enabling easy handling using a forklift. Lifting sockets can also be cast into the top of the barrier to assist with manoeuvring. Barriers are simple and quick to move into place and provide a solid structure to deter unwanted visitors, can be painted with warning signs.

1 • Delta Bloc // Designed and tested to BS EN 1317–1&2: 1998, this traffic barrier system provides protection to containment level N2. For most Impacts occurring at low speeds and shallow angles the vehicles are re-directed back onto their proper path. 8 • Traffic Barrier System // Tested to current European standard which is suitable for use on low speed highways where vehicle speeds are restricted to 30mph. 12 • Universal Road Separator // Available in 1m and 2m lengths, the Universal Road Separator stacks to minimise transport and storage costs. Made from UV stabilised LLDPE, this water fill unit is a must for all contractors. 17 • Flood Barrier // A unique and rapidly deployable solution to help prevent the devastation of flooding. Barriers are assembled through a series of interlocking units. Once deployed, the units actually fill with the rising flood waters. This combined with the weighted connection keys ensure an assembled barrier will always be denser then the flood water.

18 • 1mtr Plastic Separator // Fully interlocking barriers can be water filled or for a more permanent requirement sand filled and can be assembled with ease. Designed to create a solid wall leaving no gaps between the barrier units when linked together. Each barrier is fully compatible to fit reflective post & plank or mini mesh panels. 15 • Self-Weighted Traffic Separator // Ideal for short term use where water filled separators could be an issue due to icy weather conditions or no water supply. Has a unique turning feature that allows the barriers to rotate through 45 degrees to easily block off areas.

4 • Temporary Zebra Crossing Mat (Sale Only) // Designed to provide safety and clear direction for pedestrians, the temporary pedestrian crossing mat is flexible, fast and easy to install with the added advantage of high visibility. Can also be used as a zebra crossing on construction sites or other places of work used by pedestrians.

- Suitable for all units from 10 feet to 60 feet in length. - Conforms to all current regulations. - Air bags are linked together with velcro straps to avoid gaps. - Once deflated, the Trailer Mat System is easy to move around and store.

2 • Trailer Mat // Designed to mitigate the effects of falling from vehicles and trailers. This cost effective fall arrest system comprises of eleven inflatable air bags all connected to each other by simple push fit connectors and can all be secured to the vehicle by straps. The mats are then inflated by a 110 volt electric powered blower.

The mats are provided with ties on the inside at the top of each mat for attachment to the trailer and on the outside at the base to be fixed either to stakes driven into the ground or concrete ballast blocks. This reduces any wind interface.
